Installed into my Favorites yesterday. After running 13 months I was surprised at the day of week which had the most 'Up' days. For my issue it was Wednesday by far, followed by Friday, then Thursday. Monday and Tuesday weren't worth getting out of bed for. Thanks.

Shouldn't this script Highlight for example Monday with 1 color if it's an upday and with another color if it's a down day instead of highlighting all day's with same color?

You can code a Bar Color with any rules you like. I'm not following your question. If your referring to Daily bars...I recommend hollow candlesticks...that way you can highlight Mondays for example with a specific color...and if it's a Hollow candlestick you know it's an up day...and solid would = down day.

If your referring to Intra-Day candles...this is slightly more difficult because if your highlighting one day then it would be easy to assign two different colors....but if your highlighting all 5 days with different colors...then creating a rule like that would require 10 different colors...and looking at 10 different colors in my opinion would be difficult to easily memorize when looking at charts.

The purpose of this code...is two things:
#1 to be able to highlight a daily bar a specific color to visually see if there is a historical trend for that day...again using Hollow Candlesticks lets you know if it is up or down.

#2 to be able to get a quick snapshot of Intra-Day bars by day of the week.

The code accomplishes both of those purposes. Your more than welcome to modify the code any way you like. If you have a specific question about how to code it to accomplish specific criteria...feel free to leave another comment and I will show you how.

Is it too hard to apply some kind of code that gives a certain highlighted color on the entry candles for your custom scripts? I mean, let's say that on your custom scripts a certain strategy play's itself out, on that instance, you would get a highlighted candle that determines the entry candle?

Yes and No....It's not hard...however Pinescript needs to have the capability to code "Strategies", and currently it does not...but it will in the future. I should have a video up on TradingView's blog tomorrow showing some cool features that are coming.

Check out this chart I just posted...I've posted a few with "Signals" like this. When you look at the chart you'll see the bars paint based on a certain criteria being met....and the lower indicator plots crosses in at the same Vertical axis. That is currently as close as we can get.

I've seen some codes where the script identifies certain candlesticck patterns and highlight's them when the event occurs. This is what I meant, I mean, soemtimes the indicator show's your trade setup, but the exact entry candle is very confusing.

That's easy to create a paint bar based on a indicator criteria...
