Bullish Divergent Bar DCA Strategy [Skyrexio]Overview Bullish Divergent Bar DCA Strategy is a long-only, multi-layer Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) strategy that builds positions around bullish divergent bars formed below the Williams Alligator. It detects potential local bottoms and then scales into the move using up to four pyramiding entries, each with its own size and price threshold. The strategy optionally incorporates Market Facilitation Index (MFI) and Awesome Oscillator (AO) momentum to strengthen reversal confirmation and uses ATR-based take profit on the averaged entry price. Unique Features Layered DCA entries with equity-based sizing . It supports up to four DCA layers, where each additional layer is opened only after a configurable percentage drawdown from the first entry and position size is computed as a fraction of current equity via a geometric weighting scheme. Optional AO and MFI confirmation . Users can require Awesome Oscillator momentum divergence, MFI/volume “squat” bars, or both to confirm that the reversal bar is accompanied by capitulation and weakening downside momentum. ATR-based dynamic take profit . Take profit is defined as a multiple of ATR added to the current average entry price, automatically adjusting exits to prevailing volatility. Built-in DCA visualization . The script can plot the initial entry level and all DCA thresholds to make the averaging structure and risk visually transparent on the chart. Methodology The core entry logic starts from a bullish divergent bar definition: the bar must close above its midpoint (close > hl2) and be the lowest low within the user-defined lookback window, flagging a local swing low. On top of this, the bar must form entirely below all three Alligator lines, ensuring that the pattern appears after a sustained downside move rather than inside noise. If enabled, AO adds a momentum filter by requiring the Awesome Oscillator difference to be negative (descending bar on AO histogram), signaling fading downside momentum at the potential bottom. If the MFI filter is enabled, the bar (or one of the last two bars) must be a “squat” bar where spread narrows while volume increases, approximating effort vs. result exhaustion. ​ Once a valid bullish reversal bar is detected and the time is within the configured trading window, the strategy opens the first DCA layer using a stop entry at the bar’s high (confirmation level), only entering if price actually breaks the bar high. Additional layers (second, third, and fourth entries) are only allowed if price trades below percentage thresholds from the first entry price and a new valid bullish reversal bar forms, thereby averaging down into deep pullbacks while still requiring fresh reversal evidence. While any DCA position is open, the strategy continuously recalculates the take profit as the current volume-weighted average entry price plus ATR multiplied by a user-defined factor. All individual entries share the same take profit level through separate strategy exit calls, so the entire stacked position exits together once price has moved sufficiently above the averaged entry. Strategy settings In the inputs window, users can configure the following strategy settings: sourceUuid / secretToken: Identifiers used to format JSON alerts for automated execution through webhooks. Trade Start Date/Time: Beginning of the backtest/live-trading window. Trade Stop Date/Time: End of the backtest/live-trading window. Show DCA Levels (default = false): Toggles plotting of the initial entry level and all three DCA thresholds on the chart. Enable MFI (default = false): Enables the MFI-style volume/spread filter. Enable AO (default = false): Enables Awesome Oscillator confirmation. Number Of Bar For Lowest Bar (default = 7): Lookback window used to identify the lowest low bar for the bullish reversal bar condition. Layer 2 Threshold Percent (default = 4.0): Percentage drop from the first layer price that must be reached to allow the second DCA entry. Layer 3 Threshold Percent (default = 10.0): Percentage drop from the first layer price required to unlock the third DCA layer. Layer 4 Threshold Percent (default = 22.0): Percentage drop from the first layer price required to unlock the fourth DCA layer. Position Size Multiplier (default = 2.0): Multiplier used in the geometric weighting scheme to determine how much equity is allocated to each additional DCA layer. Number Of ATR For Take Profit (default = 2.0): ATR multiple added to the current average entry price to calculate the shared take profit for all open layers. Users can refine these parameters during backtesting to fit the volatility profile and structure of the specific asset and timeframe. Justification of Methodology Before understanding why this particular combination of indicator has been chosen let's briefly explain what is Williams Alligator, MFI and AO. let’s start with the Williams Alligator. Developed by Bill Williams, the Alligator is a technical indicator that identifies trends and potential market reversals. It consists of three smoothed moving averages: Jaw (Blue Line): The slowest of the three, based on a 13-period smoothed moving average shifted 8 bars ahead. Teeth (Red Line): The medium-speed line, derived from an 8-period smoothed moving average shifted 5 bars forward. Lips (Green Line): The fastest line, calculated using a 5-period smoothed moving average shifted 3 bars forward. When the lines diverge and align in order, the "Alligator" is "awake," signaling a strong trend. When the lines overlap or intertwine, the "Alligator" is "asleep," indicating a range-bound or sideways market. This indicator helps traders determine when to enter or avoid trades. The Awesome Oscillator (AO), developed by Bill Williams, is a momentum indicator designed to measure market momentum by contrasting recent price movements with a longer-term historical perspective. It helps traders detect potential trend reversals and assess the strength of ongoing trends. The formula for AO is as follows: AO = SMA5(Median Price) − SMA34(Median Price) where: Median Price = (High + Low) / 2 SMA5 = 5-period Simple Moving Average of the Median Price SMA 34 = 34-period Simple Moving Average of the Median Price The Market Facilitation Index (MFI) is a technical indicator that measures the price movement per unit of volume, helping traders gauge the efficiency of price movement in relation to trading volume. Here's how you can calculate it: MFI = (High−Low)/Volume MFI can be used in combination with volume, so we can divide 4 states. Bill Williams introduced these to help traders interpret the interaction between volume and price movement. Here’s a quick summary: Green Window (Increased MFI & Increased Volume): Indicates strong momentum with both price and volume increasing. Often a sign of trend continuation, as both buying and selling interest are rising. Fake Window (Increased MFI & Decreased Volume): Shows that price is moving but with lower volume, suggesting weak support for the trend. This can signal a potential end of the current trend. Squat Window (Decreased MFI & Increased Volume): Shows high volume but little price movement, indicating a tug-of-war between buyers and sellers. This often precedes a breakout as the pressure builds. Fade Window (Decreased MFI & Decreased Volume): Indicates a lack of interest from both buyers and sellers, leading to lower momentum. This typically happens in range-bound markets and may signal consolidation before a new move. For our purposes we are interested in squat bars. This is the sign that volume cannot move the price easily. This type of bar increases the probability of trend reversal. In this indicator we added to enable the MFI filter of reversal bars. If potential divergent bar or two preceding bars have squat state this bar can be interpret as a reversal one. The strategy intentionally focuses on bullish divergent bars forming at local lows and below the Alligator to catch potential exhaustion points in downtrends where risk/reward becomes asymmetric. The Alligator (Jaw, Teeth, Lips) acts as a dynamic structure filter: requiring price to be below all three lines before reversal helps avoid chasing minor pullbacks inside an ongoing uptrend and instead concentrates entries on deeper corrections where mean reversion potential is higher. The custom bullish divergent bar rule (close above midpoint and being the lowest low over N bars) approximates a local capitulation candle, which often precedes short squeezes or at least strong reactions. By combining this with AO and MFI-style filters, the strategy further increases the likelihood that the pattern coincides with downside momentum(as a confirmation that current trend is downward, AO difference < 0) and effort vs. result anomalies (squat bars), which is common signatures of trend exhaustion. The DCA structure is designed to deploy capital progressively rather than all at once: the first entry is triggered only if price confirms the reversal by breaking above the bar’s high, while subsequent layers require both a deeper discount relative to the initial entry and a new bullish reversal signal. Percentage thresholds from the first entry ensure that each additional allocation is made at meaningfully better prices, improving the blended entry level and reducing the break-even distance. Finally, using ATR as the basis for take profit aligns exits with current volatility. A fixed-percentage target can be too tight in volatile regimes or too loose in quiet markets, whereas ATR-based targets scale with average bar range. Applying ATR to the evolving average entry price of all open layers keeps the risk/reward framework consistent across different volatility regimes and DCA configurations. Backtest Results Operating window: Date range of backtests is 2025.01.01 - 2026.01.01. It is chosen to let the strategy to close all opened positions. Commission and Slippage: Includes a standard Binance commission of 0.1% and accounts for possible slippage over 5 ticks. Initial capital: 10000 USDT Maximum Single Position Loss: -6.56% Maximum Single Profit: +4.92% Net Profit: +934.08 USDT (+9.34%) Total Trades: 121 (82.64% win rate) Profit Factor: 2.948 Maximum Accumulated Loss: 624.72 USDT (-6.15%) Average Profit per Trade: 7.72 USDT (+0.37%) Average Trade Duration: 60 hours These results are obtained with realistic parameters representing trading conditions observed at major exchanges such as Binance and with realistic trading portfolio usage parameters. You should run your own backtests on the target asset and timeframe (for example, BTC/USDT on intraday charts) and adjust threshold percentages, layer sizing, and ATR take profit factor to match your risk tolerance and market conditions. Full description (Description field) What it does The Williams Alligator Spread Oscillator (WASO) transforms Bill Williams’ Alligator into a single, adaptive 0–100 scale. It computes the average pairwise distance among the Alligator lines (Lips/Teeth/Jaw), normalizes it by ATR and a rolling min–max window, and smooths the result. This makes the signal robust across symbols and timeframes and explicitly improves detection of sideways (ranging) conditions by highlighting compression regimes. Why it helps Sideways detection made easier: Low WASO marks compressed regimes that commonly align with consolidation/range phases, helping you identify chop and plan breakout strategies. Screener based on Profitunity strategy for multiple timeframes Screener based on Profitunity strategy by Bill Williams for multiple timeframes (max 5, including chart timeframe) and customizable symbol list. The screener analyzes the Alligator and Awesome Oscillator indicators, Divergent bars and high volume bars. The maximum allowed number of requests (symbols and timeframes) is limited to 40 requests, for example, for 10 symbols by 4 requests of different timeframes. Therefore, the indicator automatically limits the number of displayed symbols depending on the number of timeframes for each symbol, if there are more symbols than are displayed in the screener table, then the ordinal numbers are displayed to the left of the symbols, in this case you can display the next group of symbols by increasing the value by 1 in the "Show tickers from" field, if the "Group" field is enabled, or specify the symbol number by 1 more than the last symbol in the screener table. 👀 When timeframe filtering is applied, the screener table displays only the columns of those timeframes for which the filtering value is selected, which allows displaying more symbols. For each timeframe, in the "TIMEFRAMES > Prev" field, you can enable the display of data for the previous bar relative to the last (current) one, if the market is open for the requested symbol. Depending on the percentage value, the background color of the screener table cell will change: dark red if <= -3%; red if <= -2%, light red if <= -0.5%; dark green if >= 3%; green if >= 2%; light green if >= 0.5%. For each timeframe, the screener table displays the symbol of the latest (current) bar, depending on the closing price relative to the bar's midpoint ((high + low) / 2) and its location relative to the Alligator indicator lines: ⎾ — the bar's closing price is above its midpoint; ⎿ — the bar's closing price is below its midpoint; ├ — the bar's closing price is equal to its midpoint; 🟢 — Bullish Divergent bar, i.e. the bar's closing price is above its midpoint, the bar's high is below all Alligator lines, the bar's low is below the previous bar's low; 🔴 — Bearish Divergent bar, i.e. the bar's closing price is below its midpoint, the bar's low is above all Alligator lines, the bar's high is above the previous bar's high. When filtering is enabled in the "TIMEFRAMES > Filtering by Divergent bar" field, the data in the screener table cells will be displayed only for those timeframes that have a Divergent bar. A high bar volume signal is also displayed — 📶/📶² if the bar volume is greater than 40%/70% of the average volume value calculated using a simple moving average (SMA) in the 140 bar interval from the last bar. In the indicator settings in the "SYMBOL LIST" field, each ticker (for example: OANDA:SPX500USD) must be on a separate line. If the market is closed, then the data for requested symbols will be limited to the time of the last (current) bar on the chart, for example, if the current symbol was traded yesterday, and the requested symbol is traded today, when requesting data for an hourly timeframe, the last bar will be for yesterday, if the timeframe of the current chart is not higher than 1 day. Therefore, by default, a warning will be displayed on the chart instead of the screener table that if the market is open, you must wait for the screener to load (after the first price change on the current chart), or if the highest timeframe in the screener is 1 day, you will be prompted to change the timeframe on the current chart to 1 week, if the screener requests data for the timeframe of 1 week, you will be prompted to change the timeframe on the current chart to 1 month, or switch to another symbol on the current chart for which the market is open (for example: BINANCE:BTCUSDT), or disable the warning in the field "SYMBOL LIST > Do not display screener if market is close". The number of the last columns with the color of the AO indicator that will be displayed in the screener table for each timeframe is specified in the indicator settings in the "AWESOME OSCILLATOR > Number of columns" field. For each timeframe, the direction of the trend between the price of the highest and lowest bars in the specified range of bars from the last bar is displayed — ↑ if the trend is up (the highest bar is to the right of the lowest), or ↓ if the trend is down (the lowest bar is to the right of the highest). If there is a divergence on the AO indicator in the specified interval, the symbol ∇ is also displayed. The average volume value is also calculated in the specified interval using a simple moving average (SMA). The number of bars is set in the indicator settings in the "INTERVAL FOR HIGHEST AND LOWEST BARS > Bars count" field. KST Strategy [Skyrexio]Overview KST Strategy leverages Know Sure Thing (KST) indicator in conjunction with the Williams Alligator and Moving average to obtain the high probability setups. KST is used for for having the high probability to enter in the direction of a current trend when momentum is rising, Alligator is used as a short term trend filter, while Moving average approximates the long term trend and allows trades only in its direction. Also strategy has the additional optional filter on Choppiness Index which does not allow trades if market is choppy, above the user-specified threshold. Strategy has the user specified take profit and stop-loss numbers, but multiplied by Average True Range (ATR) value on the moment when trade is open. The strategy opens only long trades. Unique Features ATR based stop-loss and take profit. Instead of fixed take profit and stop-loss percentage strategy utilizes user chosen numbers multiplied by ATR for its calculation. Configurable Trading Periods. Users can tailor the strategy to specific market windows, adapting to different market conditions. Optional Choppiness Index filter. Strategy allows to choose if it will use the filter trades with Choppiness Index and set up its threshold. Methodology The strategy opens long trade when the following price met the conditions: Close price is above the Alligator's jaw line Close price is above the filtering Moving average KST line of Know Sure Thing indicator shall cross over its signal line (details in justification of methodology) If the Choppiness Index filter is enabled its value shall be less than user defined threshold When the long trade is executed algorithm defines the stop-loss level as the low minus user defined number, multiplied by ATR at the trade open candle. Also it defines take profit with close price plus user defined number, multiplied by ATR at the trade open candle. While trade is in progress, if high price on any candle above the calculated take profit level or low price is below the calculated stop loss level, trade is closed. Justification of Methodology Before understanding why this particular combination of indicator has been chosen let's briefly explain what is KST, Williams Alligator, Moving Average, ATR and Choppiness Index. The KST (Know Sure Thing) is a momentum oscillator developed by Martin Pring. It combines multiple Rate of Change (ROC) values, smoothed over different timeframes, to identify trend direction and momentum strength. First of all, what is ROC? ROC (Rate of Change) is a momentum indicator that measures the percentage change in price between the current price and the price a set number of periods ago. ROC = 100 * (Current Price - Price N Periods Ago) / Price N Periods Ago In our case N is the KST ROC Length inputs from settings, here we will calculate 4 different ROCs to obtain KST value: KST = ROC1_smooth × 1 + ROC2_smooth × 2 + ROC3_smooth × 3 + ROC4_smooth × 4 ROC1 = ROC(close, KST ROC Length #1), smoothed by KST SMA Length #1, ROC2 = ROC(close, KST ROC Length #2), smoothed by KST SMA Length #2, ROC3 = ROC(close, KST ROC Length #3), smoothed by KST SMA Length #3, ROC4 = ROC(close, KST ROC Length #4), smoothed by KST SMA Length #4 Also for this indicator the signal line is calculated: Signal = SMA(KST, KST Signal Line Length) When the KST line rises, it indicates increasing momentum and suggests that an upward trend may be developing. Williams Alligator Developed by Bill Williams, the Alligator is a technical indicator that identifies trends and potential market reversals. It consists of three smoothed moving averages: Jaw (Blue Line): The slowest of the three, based on a 13-period smoothed moving average shifted 8 bars ahead. Teeth (Red Line): The medium-speed line, derived from an 8-period smoothed moving average shifted 5 bars forward. Lips (Green Line): The fastest line, calculated using a 5-period smoothed moving average shifted 3 bars forward. When the lines diverge and align in order, the "Alligator" is "awake," signaling a strong trend. When the lines overlap or intertwine, the "Alligator" is "asleep," indicating a range-bound or sideways market. This indicator helps traders determine when to enter or avoid trades. The next indicator is Moving Average. It has a lot of different types which can be chosen to filter trades and the Least Squares MA is used by default settings. Let's briefly explain what is it. The Least Squares Moving Average (LSMA) — also known as Linear Regression Moving Average — is a trend-following indicator that uses the least squares method to fit a straight line to the price data over a given period, then plots the value of that line at the most recent point. It draws the best-fitting straight line through the past N prices (using linear regression), and then takes the endpoint of that line as the value of the moving average for that bar. The LSMA aims to reduce lag and highlight the current trend more accurately than traditional moving averages like SMA or EMA. Key Features: It reacts faster to price changes than most moving averages. It is smoother and less noisy than short-term EMAs. It can be used to identify trend direction, momentum, and potential reversal points. ATR (Average True Range) is a volatility indicator that measures how much an asset typically moves during a given period. It was introduced by J. Welles Wilder and is widely used to assess market volatility, not direction. To calculate it first of all we need to get True Range (TR), this is the greatest value among: High - Low abs(High - Previous Close) abs(Low - Previous Close) ATR = MA(TR, n) , where n is number of periods for moving average, in our case equals 14. ATR shows how much an asset moves on average per candle/bar. A higher ATR means more volatility; a lower ATR means a calmer market. The Choppiness Index is a technical indicator that quantifies whether the market is trending or choppy (sideways). It doesn't indicate trend direction — only the strength or weakness of a trend. Higher Choppiness Index usually approximates the sideways market, while its low value tells us that there is a high probability of a trend. Choppiness Index = 100 × log10(ΣATR(n) / (MaxHigh(n) - MinLow(n))) / log10(n) where: ΣATR(n) = sum of the Average True Range over n periods MaxHigh(n) = highest high over n periods MinLow(n) = lowest low over n periods log10 = base-10 logarithm Now let's understand how these indicators work in conjunction and why they were chosen for this strategy. KST indicator approximates current momentum, when it is rising and KST line crosses over the signal line there is high probability that short term trend is reversing to the upside and strategy allows to take part in this potential move. Alligator's jaw (blue) line is used as an approximation of a short term trend, taking trades only above it we want to avoid trading against trend to increase probability that long trade is going to be winning. Almost the same for Moving Average, but it approximates the long term trend, this is just the additional filter. If we trade in the direction of the long term trend we increase probability that higher risk to reward trade will hit the take profit. Choppiness index is the optional filter, but if it turned on it is used for approximating if now market is in sideways or in trend. On the range bounded market the potential moves are restricted. We want to decrease probability opening trades in such condition avoiding trades if this index is above threshold value. When trade is open script sets the stop loss and take profit targets. ATR approximates the current volatility, so we can make a decision when to exit a trade based on current market condition, it can increase the probability that strategy will avoid the excessive stop loss hits, but anyway user can setup how many ATRs to use as a stop loss and take profit target. As was said in the Methodology stop loss level is obtained by subtracting number of ATRs from trade opening candle low, while take profit by adding to this candle's close. Backtest Results Operating window: Date range of backtests is 2023.01.01 - 2025.05.01. It is chosen to let the strategy to close all opened positions. Commission and Slippage: Includes a standard Binance commission of 0.1% and accounts for possible slippage over 5 ticks. In this strategy if the most recent up fractal breakout occurs above the Alligator's teeth and follows the last down fractal breakout below the teeth, the algorithm identifies an uptrend. Long trades can be opened during this phase if a signal aligns. If the price breaks a down fractal below the teeth line during an uptrend, the strategy assumes the uptrend has ended and closes all open long trades. The formula for AO is as follows: AO = SMA5(Median Price) − SMA34(Median Price) where: Median Price = (High + Low) / 2 SMA5 = 5-period Simple Moving Average of the Median Price SMA 34 = 34-period Simple Moving Average of the Median Price The Acceleration/Deceleration (AC) Indicator, introduced by Bill Williams, measures the rate of change in market momentum. It highlights shifts in the driving force of price movements and helps traders spot early signs of trend changes. The AC Indicator is particularly useful for identifying whether the current momentum is accelerating or decelerating, which can indicate potential reversals or continuations. For AC calculation we shall use the AO calculated above is the following formula: AC = AO − SMA5(AO) , where SMA5(AO)is the 5-period Simple Moving Average of the Awesome Oscillator When the AC is above the zero line and rising, it suggests accelerating upward momentum. When the AC is below the zero line and falling, it indicates accelerating downward momentum. When the AC is below zero line and rising it suggests the decelerating the downtrend momentum. When AC is above the zero line and falling, it suggests the decelerating the uptrend momentum. Now let's discuss the trading zones concept and how it can create the signal. Zones are created by the combination of AO and AC. We can divide three zone types: Greed zone: when the AO and AC both are rising Red zone: when the AO and AC both are decreasing Gray zone: when one of AO or AC is rising, the other is falling Gray zone is considered as uncertainty. AC and AO are moving in the opposite direction. Strategy skip such price action to decrease the chance to stuck in the losing trade during potential sideways. Red zone is also not interesting for the algorithm because both indicators consider the trend as bearish, but strategy opens only long trades. It is waiting for the green zone to increase the chance to open trade in the direction of the potential uptrend. When we have 2 candles in a row in the green zone script executes a long trade with 10% of capital. Two green zone candles in a row is considered by algorithm as a bullish trend, but now so strong, that's the reason why trade is going to be closed when the combination of Alligator and Fractals will consider the the trend change from bullish to bearish. If id did not happens, algorithm starts to count the green zone candles in a row. When we have 5 in a row script change the trade closing condition. Such situation is considered is a high probability strong bull market and all trades will be closed if candle's low will be lower than fifth green zone candle's low. This is used to increase probability to secure the profit. If long trades are initiated, the strategy continues utilizing subsequent signals until the total number of trades reaches a maximum of 5. Each trade uses 10% of capital. Why we use trading zones signals? If currently strategy algorithm considers the high probability of the short-term uptrend with the Alligator and Fractals combination pointed out above and the long-term trend is also suggested by the EMA filter as bullish. Rising AC and AO values in the direction of the most likely main trend signaling that we have the high probability of the fastest bullish phase on the market. The main idea is to take part in such rapid moves and add trades if this move continues its acceleration according to indicators. Traders often use fractals alongside other indicators to confirm trends or reversals, enhancing decision-making accuracy. How do these tools work together in this strategy? Let’s consider an example of an uptrend. When the price breaks above an up fractal, it signals a potential bullish trend. This occurs because the up fractal represents a shift in market behavior, where a temporary high was formed due to selling pressure. If the price revisits this level and breaks through, it suggests the market sentiment has turned bullish. The breakout must occur above the Alligator’s teeth line to confirm the trend. A breakout below the teeth is considered invalid, and the downtrend might still persist. Conversely, in a downtrend, the same logic applies with down fractals. In this strategy if the most recent up fractal breakout occurs above the Alligator's teeth and follows the last down fractal breakout below the teeth, the algorithm identifies an uptrend. Long trades can be opened during this phase if a signal aligns. If the price breaks a down fractal below the teeth line during an uptrend, the strategy assumes the uptrend has ended and closes all open long trades. By combining the EMA as a long-term trend filter with the Alligator and fractals as short-term filters, this approach increases the likelihood of opening profitable trades while staying aligned with market dynamics. Now let's talk about Acceleration/Deceleration signals. AC indicator is calculated using the Awesome Oscillator, so let's first of all briefly explain what is Awesome Oscillator and how it can be calculated. The Awesome Oscillator (AO), developed by Bill Williams, is a momentum indicator designed to measure market momentum by contrasting recent price movements with a longer-term historical perspective. It helps traders detect potential trend reversals and assess the strength of ongoing trends. The formula for AO is as follows: AO = SMA5(Median Price) − SMA34(Median Price) where: Median Price = (High + Low) / 2 SMA5 = 5-period Simple Moving Average of the Median Price SMA 34 = 34-period Simple Moving Average of the Median Price The Acceleration/Deceleration (AC) Indicator, introduced by Bill Williams, measures the rate of change in market momentum. It highlights shifts in the driving force of price movements and helps traders spot early signs of trend changes. The AC Indicator is particularly useful for identifying whether the current momentum is accelerating or decelerating, which can indicate potential reversals or continuations. For AC calculation we shall use the AO calculated above is the following formula: AC = AO − SMA5(AO), where SMA5(AO)is the 5-period Simple Moving Average of the Awesome Oscillator When the AC is above the zero line and rising, it suggests accelerating upward momentum. When the AC is below the zero line and falling, it indicates accelerating downward momentum. When the AC is below zero line and rising it suggests the decelerating the downtrend momentum. When AC is above the zero line and falling, it suggests the decelerating the uptrend momentum. Now we can explain which AC signal types are used in this strategy. The first type of long signal is when AC value is below zero line. In this cases we need to see three rising bars on the histogram in a row after the falling one. The second type of signals occurs above the zero line. There we need only two rising AC bars in a row after the falling one to create the signal. The signal bar is the last green bar in this sequence. The strategy places the buy stop order one tick above the candle's high, which corresponds to the signal bar on AC indicator. After that we can have the following scenarios: Price hit the order on the next candle in this case strategy opened long with this price. Price doesn't hit the order price, the next candle set lower high. If current AC bar is increasing buy stop order changes by the script to the high of this new bar plus one tick. This procedure repeats until price finally hit buy order or current AC bar become decreasing. In the second case buy order cancelled and strategy wait for the next AC signal. If long trades are initiated, the strategy continues utilizing subsequent signals until the total number of trades reaches a maximum of 5. All open trades are closed when the trend shifts to a downtrend, as determined by the combination of the Alligator and Fractals described earlier. Why we use AC signals? If currently strategy algorithm considers the high probability of the short-term uptrend with the Alligator and Fractals combination pointed out above and the long-term trend is also suggested by the EMA filter as bullish. Rising AC bars after period of falling AC bars indicates the high probability of local pull back end and there is a high chance to open long trade in the direction of the most likely main uptrend. The numbers of rising bars are different for the different AC values (below or above zero line). This is needed because if AC below zero line the local downtrend is likely to be stronger and needs more rising bars to confirm that it has been changed than if AC is above zero. Why strategy use only 10% per signal? Sometimes we can see the false signals which appears on sideways. Not risking that much script use only 10% per signal. If the first long trade has been open and price continue going up and our trend approximation by Alligator and Fractals is uptrend, strategy add another one 10% of capital to every next AC signal while number of active trades no more than 5. This capital allocation allows to take part in long trades when current uptrend is likely to be strong and use only 10% of capital when there is a high probability of sideways. Backtest Results Operating window: Date range of backtests is 2023.01.01 - 2024.11.01. It is chosen to let the strategy to close all opened positions. Moreover, strategy uses multi trades system, adding funds to long position if it considered that current trend has likely became stronger. Awesome Oscillator is used for creating signals, while Alligator and Fractal are used in conjunction as an approximation of short-term trend to filter them. At the same time EMA (default EMA's period = 100) is used as high probability long-term trend filter to open long trades only if it considers current price action as an uptrend. Awesome Oscillator shall create the "Saucer" long signal (all details in "Justification of Methodology" paragraph). Buy stop order is placed one tick above the candle's high of last created "Saucer signal". 4. If price reaches the order price, long position is opened with 10% of capital. 5. If currently we have opened position and price creates and hit the order price of another one "Saucer" signal another one long position will be added to the previous with another one 10% of capital. Strategy allows to open up to 5 long trades simultaneously. 6. If combination of Alligator and Williams Fractals shall consider current trend has been changed from up to downtrend, all long trades will be closed, no matter how many trades has been opened. Script also has additional visuals. If second long trade has been opened simultaneously the Alligator's teeth line is plotted with the green color. Also for every trade in a row from 2 to 5 the label "Buy More" is also plotted just below the teeth line. With every next simultaneously opened trade the green color of the space between teeth and price became less transparent. Strategy settings In the inputs window user can setup strategy setting: EMA Length (by default = 100, period of EMA, used for long-term trend filtering EMA calculation). User can choose the optimal parameters during backtesting on certain price chart. Justification of Methodology Let's go through all concepts used in this strategy to understand how they works together. Let's start from the easies one, the EMA. Let's briefly explain what is EMA. The Exponential Moving Average (EMA) is a type of moving average that gives more weight to recent prices, making it more responsive to current price changes compared to the Simple Moving Average (SMA). It is commonly used in technical analysis to identify trends and generate buy or sell signals. It can be calculated with the following steps: 1.Calculate the Smoothing Multiplier: Multiplier = 2 / (n + 1), Where n is the number of periods. 2. EMA Calculation EMA = (Current Price) × Multiplier + (Previous EMA) × (1 − Multiplier) In this strategy uses EMA an initial long term trend filter. It allows to open long trades only if price close above EMA (by default 50 period). It increases the probability of taking long trades only in the direction of the trend. Let's go to the next, short-term trend filter which consists of Alligator and Fractals. Let's briefly explain what do these indicators means. The moment of the breakout marks the potential transition to an uptrend. It’s crucial to note that this breakout must occur above the Alligator's teeth line. If it happens below, the breakout isn’t valid, and the downtrend may still persist. The same logic applies inversely for down fractals in a downtrend scenario. So, if last up fractal breakout was higher, than Alligator's teeth and it happened after last down fractal breakdown below teeth, algorithm considered current trend as an uptrend. During this uptrend long trades can be opened if signal was flashed. If during the uptrend price breaks down the down fractal below teeth line, strategy considered that uptrend is finished with the high probability and strategy closes all current long trades. This combination is used as a short term trend filter increasing the probability of opening profitable long trades in addition to EMA filter, described above. Now let's talk about Awesome Oscillator's "Sauser" signals. Briefly explain what is the Awesome Oscillator. The Awesome Oscillator (AO), created by Bill Williams, is a momentum-based indicator that evaluates market momentum by comparing recent price activity to a broader historical context. When we see the stop of AO decreasing and the first increasing bar has been printed there is a high probability that this local pull back is finished and strategy open long trade in the likely direction of a main trend. Let's explain the uptrend example. The up fractal breakout to the upside can be interpret as bullish sign, there is a high probability that uptrend has just been started. It can be explained as following: the up fractal created is the potential change in market's behavior. A lot of traders made a decision to sell and it created the pullback with the fractal at the top. But if price is able to reach the fractal's top and break it, this is a high probability sign that market "changed his opinion" and bullish trend has been started. The moment of breaking is the potential changing to the uptrend. Here is another one important point, this breakout shall happen above the Alligator's teeth line. If not, this crossover doesn't count and the downtrend potentially remaining. The inverted logic is true for the down fractals and downtrend. According to this methodology we received the high probability up and downtrend changes, but we can even add it. If current trend established by the indicator as the uptrend and alligator's lines have the following order: lips is higher than teeth, teeth is higher than jaw, script count it as a strong uptrend and start print the green zone - zone between lips and jaw. It can be used as a high probability support of the current bull market. The inverted logic can be used for bearish trend and red zones: if lips is lower than teeth and teeth is lower than jaw it's interpreted by the indicator as a strong down trend. Indicator also has the trend invalidation line (white line). If current bar is green and market condition is interpreted by the script as an uptrend you will see the invalidation line below current price. This is the price level which shall be crossed by the price to change up trend to down trend according to algorithm. This level is recalculated on every candle. The inverted logic is valid for downtrend. How to use indicator Apply it to desired chart and time frame. It works on every time frame. Setup the settings with enabling/disabling visualization of strong up/downtrend zones and trend invalidation line. "Show Strong Bullish/Bearish Trends" and "Show Trend Invalidation Price" checkboxes in the settings. By default they are turned on. Analyze the price action. Indicator colored candle in green if it's more likely that current state is uptrend, in red if downtrend has the high probability to be now. Green zones between two lines showing if current uptrend is likely to be strong. This zone can be used as a high probability support on the uptrend. The red zone show high probability of strong downtrend and can be used as a resistance. White line is showing the level where uptrend or downtrend is going be invalidated according to indicator's algorithm. If current bar is green invalidation line will be below the current price, if red - above the current price. Set up the alerts if it's needed. Indicator has four custom alerts called "Uptrend has been started" when current bar closed as green and the previous was not green, "Downtrend has been started" when current bar closed red and the previous was not red, "Uptrend became strong" if script started printing the green zone "Downtrend became strong" if script started printing the red zone. So, what exactly is a bullish or bearish reversal bar? At its core, it’s a candlestick pattern. A bullish reversal bar is a bar that closes in its upper half, while a bearish reversal bar closes in its lower half. Why is this type of bar significant? Let’s look at the bullish reversal bar as an example. When the price is trending upward, forming higher highs with each candle, and we suddenly see a bullish bar that makes a new high but ultimately closes in its lower half, it signals a shift in control. Bears have taken control toward the end of that candle's period, pushing the price back down. This can be interpreted as a sign of trend weakness and a potential reversal (or at least a correction). An additional key point is that a reversal bar often indicates a possible end to the trend. Therefore, for a reversal bar to be valid, several preceding candles should show lower highs (for bullish bars) or higher lows (for bearish bars), reinforcing the likelihood of a trend change. The second step on methodology is the location of the bar related to Williams Alligator. The Williams Alligator Indicator, developed by Bill Williams, is a technical analysis tool that helps traders identify trends and potential turning points in the market. It consists of three lines, often called the jaw, teeth, and lips of the alligator, each representing different moving averages: Jaw (Blue Line): A slower moving average, typically a 13-period smoothed moving average shifted 8 bars into the future. Teeth (Red Line): A medium moving average, typically an 8-period smoothed moving average shifted 5 bars into the future. Lips (Green Line): A faster moving average, usually a 5-period smoothed moving average shifted 3 bars into the future. When the three lines are spread out and moving in the same direction, it suggests a strong trend (the "alligator" is "awake and feeding"). When they intertwine, the indicator suggests that the market is moving sideways, or in a range, signaling a lack of clear trend (the "alligator" is "sleeping"). Traders use the Alligator Indicator to enter trades in trending markets and avoid trades in choppy, non-trending markets. If bullish reversal bar's high is not below and bearish reversal bar's low is not above all three Alligator's lines (jaw, lips, teeth) they cannot be interpreted as these types of bars. It can be explained as following: if we are waiting for the bullish reversal bar it shall be reversal from downtrend. If price is not below all three lines it can't be interpret as the downtrend according to this method. The opposite is true for the bearish reversal bar. All described above are obligatory conditions for reversal bar, now let's discuss two not obligatory conditions. The first one is Market Facilitation Index (MFI) restriction. Let's briefly look what is MFI. The Market Facilitation Index (MFI) is a technical indicator that measures the price movement per unit of volume, helping traders gauge the efficiency of price movement in relation to trading volume. Here's how you can calculate it: MFI = (High−Low)/Volume MFI can be used in combination with volume, so we can divide 4 states. Bill Williams introduced these to help traders interpret the interaction between volume and price movement. Here’s a quick summary: Green Window (Increased MFI & Increased Volume): Indicates strong momentum with both price and volume increasing. Often a sign of trend continuation, as both buying and selling interest are rising. Fake Window (Increased MFI & Decreased Volume): Shows that price is moving but with lower volume, suggesting weak support for the trend. This can signal a potential end of the current trend. Squat Window (Decreased MFI & Increased Volume): Shows high volume but little price movement, indicating a tug-of-war between buyers and sellers. This often precedes a breakout as the pressure builds. Fade Window (Decreased MFI & Decreased Volume): Indicates a lack of interest from both buyers and sellers, leading to lower momentum. This typically happens in range-bound markets and may signal consolidation before a new move. For our purposes we are interested in squat bars. This is the sign that volume cannot move the price easily. This type of bar increases the probability of trend reversal. In this indicator we added to enable the MFI filter of reversal bars. If potential reversal bar or two preceding bars have squat state this bar can be interpret as a reversal one. The second additional filter is Awesome Oscillator. The Awesome Oscillator (AO), developed by Bill Williams, is a momentum indicator that measures market momentum by comparing recent price action to a longer historical context. It helps traders identify potential trend reversals and the strength of trends. Formula: AO = SMA5(Median Price) − SMA34(Median Price) where: Median Price = (High + Low) / 2 SMA5 = 5-period Simple Moving Average of the Median Price SMA 34 = 34-period Simple Moving Average of the Median Price If AO is decreasing momentum is bearish, if increasing - bullish. According to Bill Williams approach reversal bars are the potential trades against the trend. As a result we added second filter for bullish reversal bars AO shall be decreasing, for bearish increasing. How to use indicator Apply it to desired chart and time frame. It works on every time frame. Setup the filters with the "Enable MFI" and "Enable AO" checkboxes in the settings. By default they are turned on. Analyze the price action. Indicator plotted the white line, this is the lips of an Alligator. It will help you to understand how price is moving in comparison to lips line. Indicator will print the green dot and text "BULL" below it current bar is bullish reversal. It will print the red dot and text "BEAR" above it if current bar is interpreted by algorithm as a bearish reversal. Set up the alerts if it's needed. Fractal Breakout Trend Following StrategyOverview The Fractal Breakout Trend Following Strategy is a trend-following system which utilizes the Willams Fractals and Alligator to execute the long trades on the fractal's breakouts which have a high probability to be the new uptrend phase beginning. This system also uses the normalized Average True Range indicator to filter trades after a large moves, because it's more likely to see the trend continuation after a consolidation period. Strategy can execute only long trades. Unique Features Trend and volatility filtering system: Strategy uses Williams Alligator to filter the counter-trend fractals breakouts and normalized Average True Range to avoid the trades after large moves, when volatility is high Configurable Trading Periods: Users can tailor the strategy to specific market windows, adapting to different market conditions. Flexible Risk Management: Users can choose the stop-loss percent (by default = 3%) for trades, but strategy also has the dynamic stop-loss level using down fractals. Methodology The strategy places stop order at the last valid fractal breakout level. Validity of this fractal is defined by the Williams Alligator indicator. If at the moment of time when price breaking the last fractal price is higher than Alligator's teeth line (8 period SMA shifted 5 bars in the future) this is a valid breakout. Moreover strategy has the additional volatility filtering system using normalized ATR. It calculates the average normalized ATR for last user-defined number of bars and if this value lower than the user-defined threshold value the long trade is executed. When trade is opened, script places the stop loss at the price higher of two levels: user defined stop-loss from the position entry price or down fractal validation level. The down fractal is valid with the rule, opposite as the up fractal validation. Price shall break to the downside the last down fractal below the Willians Alligator's teeth line. Strategy has no fixed take profit. Exit level changes with the down fractal validation level. If price is in strong uptrend trade is going to be active until last down fractal is not valid. Strategy closes trade when price hits the down fractal validation level. Risk Management The strategy employs a combined approach to risk management: It allows positions to ride the trend as long as the price continues to move favorably, aiming to capture significant price movements. It features a user-defined stop-loss parameter to mitigate risks based on individual risk tolerance. By default, this stop-loss is set to a 3% drop from the entry point, but it can be adjusted according to the trader's preferences. Justification of Methodology This strategy leverages Williams Fractals to open long trade when price has broken the key resistance level to the upside. This resistance level is the last up fractal and is shall be broken above the Williams Alligator's teeth line to be qualified as the valid breakout according to this strategy. The Alligator filtering increases the probability to avoid the false breakouts against the current trend. Moreover strategy has an additional filter using Average True Range(ATR) indicator. If average value of ATR for the last user-defined number of bars is lower than user-defined threshold strategy can open the long trade according to open trade condition above. The logic here is following: we want to open trades after period of price consolidation inside the range because before and after a big move price is more likely to be in sideways, but we need a trend move to have a profit. Another one important feature is how the exit condition is defined. On the one hand, strategy has the user-defined stop-loss (3% below the entry price by default). It's made to give users the opportunity to restrict their losses according to their risk-tolerance. On the other hand, strategy utilizes the dynamic exit level which is defined by down fractal activation. If we assume the breaking up fractal is the beginning of the uptrend, breaking down fractal can be the start of downtrend phase. We don't want to be in long trade if there is a high probability of reversal to the downside. This approach helps to not keep open trade if trend is not developing and hold it if price continues going up. Backtest Results Operating window: Date range of backtests is 2023.01.01 - 2024.05.01. It is chosen to let the strategy to close all opened positions. Commission and Slippage: Includes a standard Binance commission of 0.1% and accounts for possible slippage over 5 ticks. Initial capital: 10000 USDT Percent of capital used in every trade: 30% Maximum Single Position Loss: -3.19% Maximum Single Profit: +24.97% Net Profit: +3036.90 USDT (+30.37%) Total Trades: 83 (28.92% win rate) Profit Factor: 1.953 Maximum Accumulated Loss: 963.98 USDT (-8.29%) Average Profit per Trade: 36.59 USDT (+1.12%) Average Trade Duration: 72 hours These results are obtained with realistic parameters representing trading conditions observed at major exchanges such as Binance and with realistic trading portfolio usage parameters. Gator TailGator Tail
 Building on Bill William’s Alligator, the Gator Tail provides the trader with a scaled value of deviation between the market price and the rolling average. Meant to be used as a trend reversal indicator, best results when combined with the Awesome Oscillator (AO).

 Script Theory Basics This script is based off of the Bill Williams Alligator indicator. In this indicator, the variance between the ‘jaw’ and the current price represents the deviation of price from its average. Using the alligator, the trader must identify this using their eye only. This script provides a numerical value, charted in histogram format like the Awesome Oscillator. Using the two in tandem allows the trader to identify reversal points and act on positions accordingly.

 Script Technicalities The Gator Tail value is derived as follows. To preface, the ‘jaw’ is a 13 period simple moving average, plotted 8 periods into the future on the chart. A calculation is performed on the ‘jaw’ value to extract its current value less the offset. This value is compared to the current price at the time of printing the equation. Price takes the hl2 value (high + low / 2). The variance between the two values is calculated by subtracting the jaw offset from the price value, and dividing this value by the offset value ( / jaw offset). This value prints as an absolute (irrespective of positive or negative) and gets plotted on the chart for the period. The range of values is 0.00 to 1.00. 

 Using Gator Tail
 Any value above 0.20 is considered to be in the warning range. Values exceeding the 0.35-0.40 range are considered to be highly deviated. Highly deviated Gator Tail values combined with a color reversal from the AO indicate an entry/exit point in the chart.
Using the two indicators on top of one another provides an easy visual cue to identify market reversal points. In the example chart above, we can see the red arrows on the Gator Tail coinciding with the AO reversals to result in the chart movements in the candlestick pane. Limitations This indicator does not work well with cryptocurrencies (altcoins or otherwise). The prices in these markets have few ties to macroeconomic trends or performance of an underlying asset. When testing this script, it was not found to be a reliable predictor of market reversals. This script is meant to be used with standard equities (stocks, stock options, currencies) where markets follow a reasonable level of predictability and have some underlying tie to real world events and relativity to historical prices.

Note that this strategy is specifically tailored for the 4-hour time frame. Unique Features 2-layers market noise filtering system: Trades are only initiated in the direction of the 1D trend, determined by the Williams Alligator indicator. This higher time frame confirmation filters out minor trade signals, focusing on more substantial opportunities. At the same time, strategy has additional filter on 4h time frame with Awesome Oscillator which is showing the current price momentum. Flexible Risk Management: The strategy exclusively opens long positions, resulting in fewer trades during bear markets. It incorporates a dynamic stop-loss mechanism, which can either follow the jaw line of the 4h Alligator or a user-defined fixed stop-loss. This flexibility helps manage risk and avoid non-trending markets. Methodology The strategy initiates a long position when the d-line of Stochastic RSI crosses up it's k-line. It means that there is a high probability that price momentum reversed from down to up. To avoid overtrading in potentially choppy markets, it skips the next two trades following a winning trade, anticipating sideways movement after a significant price surge. This strategy has two layers trades filtering system: 4h and 1D time frames. The first one is awesome oscillator. It shall be increasing and value has to be higher than it's 5-period SMA. This is an additional confirmation that long trade is opened in the direction of the current momentum. As it was mentioned above, all entry signals are validated against the 1D Williams Alligator indicator. A trade is only opened if the price is above all three lines of the 1D Alligator, ensuring alignment with the major trend. A trade is closed if the price hits the 4h jaw line of the Alligator or reaches the user-defined stop-loss level. Risk Management The strategy employs a combined approach to risk management: It allows positions to ride the trend as long as the price continues to move favorably, aiming to capture significant price movements. It features a user-defined stop-loss parameter to mitigate risks based on individual risk tolerance. By default, this stop-loss is set to a 2% drop from the entry point, but it can be adjusted according to the trader's preferences. Justification of Methodology This strategy leverages Stochastic RSI on 4h time frame to open long trade when momentum started reversing to the upside. On the one hand, Stochastic RSI is one of the most sensitive indicator, which allows to react fast on the potential trend reversal. On the other hand, this indicator can be too sensitive and provide a lot of false trend changing signals. To eliminate this weakness we use two-layers trades filtering system. The first layer is the 4h Awesome oscillator. This is less sensitive momentum indicator. Usually it starts increasing when price has already passed significant distance from the actual reversal point. The strategy opens long trade only is Awesome oscillator is increasing and above it's 5-period SMA. This approach increases the probability to filter the false signals during the choppy market or if the reversal is false. The second layer filter is the Williams Alligator indicator on 1D time frame. The 1D Alligator serves as a filter for identifying the primary trend and increases probability to avoid the trades with low potential because trading against major trend usually is more risky. It's much better to catch the trend continuation than local bounce. Last but not least feature of this strategy is close trades condition. It uses the flexible approach. First of all, user can set up the fixed stop-loss according to his own risk-tolerance, by default this value is 2% of price movement. It restricts the potential loss at the moment when trade has just been opened. Moreover strategy utilizes the 4h Williams Alligator's jaw line to exit the trade. If price fell below it trade is closed. This approach helps to not keep open trade if trend is not developing and hold it if price continues going up. MFI and Awesome Oscillator According to the Market Facilitation Index Oscillator, the Squat bar is colored blue, all other bars are colored according to the Awesome Oscillator color, except for the Fake bars, colored with a lighter AO color. In the indicator settings, you can enable the display of "Green" bars (in the "Green Bars > Show" field). In the indicator style settings, you can disable changing the color of bars in accordance with the AO color (in the "AO bars" field), including changing the color for Fake bars (in the "Fake AO bars" field). MFI is calculated using the formula: (high - low) / volume. A Squat bar means that, compared to the previous bar, its MFI has decreased and at the same time its volume has increased, i.e. MFI < previous bar and volume > previous bar. A sign of a possible price reversal, so this is a particularly important signal. A Fake bar is the opposite of a Squat bar and means that, compared to the previous bar, its MFI has increased and at the same time its volume has decreased, i.e. MFI > previous bar and volume < previous bar. A "Green" bar means that, compared to the previous bar, its MFI has increased and at the same time its volume has increased, i.e. MFI > previous bar and volume > previous bar. A sign of trend continuation. But a more significant trend confirmation or warning of a possible reversal is the Awesome Oscillator, which measures market momentum by calculating the difference between the 5 Period and 34 Period Simple Moving Averages (SMA 5 - SMA 34) based on the midpoints of the bars (hl2). Therefore, by default, the "Green" bars and their opposite "Fade" bars are colored according to the color of the Awesome Oscillator. According to Bill Williams' Profitunity strategy, using the Awesome Oscillator, the third Elliott wave is determined by the maximum peak of AO in the range from 100 to 140 bars. The presence of divergence between the maximum AO peak and the subsequent lower AO peak in this interval also warns of a possible correction, especially if the AO crosses the zero line between these AO peaks. Therefore, the chart additionally displays the prices of the highest and lowest bars, as well as the maximum or minimum peak of AO in the interval of 140 bars from the last bar. In the indicator settings, you can hide labels, lines, change the number of bars and any parameters for the AO indicator - method (SMA, Smoothed SMA, EMA and others), length, source (open, high, low, close, hl2 and others). Bullish Divergent bar 🟢 A buy signal (Long) is a Bullish Divergent bar with a green circle displayed above it if such a bar simultaneously meets all of the following conditions: The high of the bar is below all lines of the Alligator indicator. По стратегии Profitunity Билла Вильямса с помощью осциллятора Awesome Oscillator определяется третья волна Эллиота по максимальному пику AO в интервале от 100 до 140 баров. Наличие дивергенции между максимальным пиком AO и следующим за ним более низким пиком AO в этом интервале также предупреждает о возможной коррекции, особенно если AO переходит через нулевую линию между этими пиками AO. Поэтому на графике дополнительно отображаются цены самого высокого и самого низкого баров, а также максимальный или минимальный пик АО в интервале 140 баров от последнего бара. В настройках индикатора вы можете скрыть метки, линии, изменить количество баров и любые параметры для индикатора AO – метод (SMA, Smoothed SMA, EMA и другие), длину, источник (open, high, low, close, hl2 и другие). Бычий Дивергентный бар 🟢 Сигналом на покупку (Long) является Бычий Дивергентный бар над которым отображается зеленый круг, если такой бар соответствует одновременно всем следующим условиям: Максимум бара ниже всех линий индикатора Alligator. Цена закрытия бара выше его середины, т.е. close > (high + low) / 2. Минимум бара ниже минимума 2-х предыдущих баров или ниже минимума одного предыдущего бара, а минимум второго предыдущего бара является нижним фракталом (▼). По умолчанию не отображаются Дивергентные бары, минимум которых ниже минимума только одного предыдущего бара и минимум 2-го предыдущего бара не является нижним фракталом (▼), но вы можете включить отображение любых Дивергентных баров в настройках индикатора (установив значение "no" в поле "Divergent Bars > Filtration"). Усилением сигнала Бычьего Дивергентного бара являются следующие условия: Цена открытия бара, как и цена закрытия, выше его середины, т.е. Open > (high + low) / 2. Максимум бара ниже всех линий открытого индикатора Alligator, т.е. зеленая линия (Lips) ниже красной линии (Teeth) и красная линия ниже синей линии (Jaw). Медвежий Дивергентный бар 🔴 Сигналом на продажу (Short) является Медвежий Дивергентный бар под которым отображается красный круг, если такой бар соответствует одновременно всем следующим условиям: Минимум бара выше всех линий индикатора Alligator. Цена закрытия бара ниже его середины, т.е. close < (high + low) / 2. Максимум бара выше маскимума 2-х предыдущих баров или выше максимума одного предыдущего бара, а максимум второго предыдущего бара является верхним фракталом (▲). По умолчанию не отображаются Дивергентные бары, максимум которых выше максимума только одного предыдущего бара и максимум 2-го предыдущего бара не является верхним фракталом (▲), но вы можете включить отображение любых Дивергентных баров в настройках индикатора (установив значение "no" в поле "Divergent Bars > Filtration"). Если бар закрылся выше линии Lips, которая ниже линии Teeth, а линия Teeth ниже линии Jaw, при этом цена закрытия предыдущего бара находится ниже линии Lips. Пересечение барами всех линий открытого Alligator является признаком глубокой коррекции и предупреждением о возможной смене тренда. Частое пересечение линий Alligator между собой является признаком бокового тренда (флэт). Gabriels Trend Regularity Adaptive Moving Average Dragon This is an improved version of the trend following Williams Alligator, through the use of five Trend Regularity Adaptive Moving Averages (TRAMA) instead of three smoothed averages (SMMA). This indicator can double as a TRAMA Ribbon indicator by reducing the offset to zero. Whereas the active offset can double as a forecasting indicator for options and futures. This indicator uses five TRAMAs, set at 8, 21, 55, 144, and 233 periods. They make up the Lips, Teeth, Jaws, Wings, and Tail of the Dragon. This indicator uses convergence-divergence relationships to build trading signals, with the Tail making the slowest turns and the Lips making the fastest turns. The Lips crossing downwards through the other lines signal a short opportunity, whereas Lips crossing upwards through other lines signal a buying opportunity. The downward cross can be referred to as the Dragon "Sleeping" , and the upward cross as the Dragon "Awakening" . In particular, but not limited to, the Wings and Tail movements possess a Roar-like forecast effect on the market. Respectively, they can be referred to as the Dragon "Spreading its Wings" or "Swinging its Tail" . The first three lines, stretching apart and constantly moving higher or lower, denote periods in which long or short equity positions should be managed and maintained. This can be referred to as the Dragon "Eating with a mouth wide open" . Whereas indicator lines converging into narrow bands and shifting into a horizontal position can denote a trending period coming to an end, signaling the need for profit-taking and position realignment. Conversely, a previous flat line moving can denote a new trending period starting. This indicator can double as a Multiple TRAMAs indicator by reducing the offset to zero. As such, very interesting results can be observed when used in a moving average crossover system such as the Williams Alligator or as trailing support and resistance. The following moving average adapts to the average of the highest high and lowest low made over a specific period, thus adapting to trend strength. The TRAMA can be used like most moving averages, with the advantage of being smoother during ranging markets because it is calculated through exponential averaging. It is calculating, using a smoothing factor, the squared simple moving average of the number of highest highs or lowest lows previously made. Where the highest highs and lowest lows are calculated using rolling maximums and minimums. Therefore, squaring allows the moving average to penalize lower values, thus appearing stationary during ranging markets. As with all moving averages, it is still a lagging indicator, and it can suffer whipsaws when the market moves too violently or when it consolidates in ranging conditions. Despite it working in all timeframes, it won't be as formidable in the 1–5-minute scalping timeframes due to that. I would suggest 5 to 45 minutes if you are a swing trader, or hourly, daily, and weekly if you are a long-term investor. I hope you enjoy this indicator! Optimized Alligator RateA less conventional way of utilizing the "Williams Alligator," the Optimized Rate uses the rate of change of the averages within the Alligator in order to potentially forecast with greater accuracy. The true optimization comes from the calculation of the "McGinley Dynamic" to create zero lag smoothed moving averages. It's important to note the standard Alligator has always used the SMMA. Lastly, divergence between the rates has been calculated in plotting for clarification.

Trend & atr day & calcHi! Why for what and how in this script? At the time of publication the script consists of three modules, it may increase in the future. 1. Bottom left corner : daytime ATR module (idea and basis of the author's script - ???) - The size of the daily ATR based on 14 bars; - intraday ATR progress; - colour indication of the progress status, for easier visual perception (green < 70%, yellow 70-90 and red over 90% of ATR) By evaluating the progress of the daily ATR, it is possible to suggest and expedient to enter/exit/hold a trade. 2. Top right: trend module The trend is calculated based on Bill Williams' alligator indicator - trend status on specified timeframes for the current ticker; - colour indication for visual perception (green - growing trend, yellow - alligator is sleeping, red - downtrend) Do not forget that the alligator is based on moving averages with the resulting consequences. Its purpose is to assess the state of the trend on other ticker TFs, without additional actions (switching to another screen or TF) 3. In the bottom left corner - risk and position calculator (based on an idea of the risk calculator by @andrei.bunulu) It helps to determine the advisability of entering the trade and also what size position to enter into the trade, within money management strategy chosen. - The calculator works in two directions: long deal and short deal (short deal calculation is enabled by check-box in settings) - two calculation methods: a. based on the set stop loss % (default is 0.3%), in this mode the stop and takeout level is automatically calculated (default is 1 / 3). b. by entering the desired price levels (entry, stop and take profit points) To make this work correctly please do not forget to choose the type of calculation (% or price) in the settings, and the currency symbol (for visual representation in the results). The calculator can take into account the set commissions and spreads. When hovering over the module - tooltips are displayed. Each module can be enabled / disabled in the settings. В нижнем левом углу - калькулятор рисков и позиции (на основе идеи калькулятора аuthor: @andrei.bunulu) Помогает определить целесообразность входа в сделку, а также каким размером позиции входить в сделку, в рамках выбранной стратегии мани менеджмента. - калькулятор работает в два направления: длинная и короткая сделка (расчет по короткой включается в настройках чек-боксом) - два варианта расчета: а. на основании установленного % стоп лосса (по-умолчанию 0,3%), при этом режиме происходит автоматический расчет уровня стопа и тейка (по умолчанию 1 / 3). b. путем ввода данных желаемых уровней цены (точки входа, стопа и тейк профита) Для корректной работы не забываем в настройках выбирать тип расчета (% или цена), а также символ валюты (для визуального отображения в итогах). Калькулятор может учитывать установленный размер комиссий и спреда. При наведении на модуль - отображаются подсказки. Каждый модуль можно включить / выключить в настройках. Размер и расположение модулей сделано для совместного использования со скриптом - "Abnormal Bar"
