Bullish on TSLA, but worst I hedged with Cheap Puts to 100.With a bullish outlook, I bought 180 Calls, which expire in March next year. The coming earnings will be a watershed moment, setting the trajectory for #TSLA. I think it will be net positive regardless of the stock move. Watch out for Autonomy and AI gains in general, a New Factory, a hint on NV91, & a surprise; The media and a few investors, especially well-known and visible ones, are taking advantage of the overall EV slowdown due to rates and bearish sentiments by saying that Model 2 is slashed. In practice, they might be buying more. I doubt that all the point in going to India is to build such a car within a 1-2 year timeline. I have hedged it by 100$ PUT to expire at the end of May for very cheap in the worst-case scenario. Please like, comment, and correct as you see fit. Longby vishalniitUpdated 227
Tesla Surges as China Clears Path for Self-Driving TechnologyIn a dramatic leap forward for Tesla ( NASDAQ:TSLA ), the electric car giant witnessed a staggering 12% surge in its share price following a pivotal breakthrough in China. The monumental milestone revolves around the green light received by Tesla to roll out its full self-driving (FSD) technology in the world's largest electric vehicle market. The buzz surrounding Tesla ( NASDAQ:TSLA ) intensified after CEO Elon Musk's visit to China culminated in the removal of restrictions imposed on Tesla cars, paving the way for the deployment of FSD. This development, coupled with China's stringent data security requirements being met, sparked a flurry of investor optimism. For years, Tesla ( NASDAQ:TSLA ) has tantalized Chinese consumers with its FSD technology, albeit with limited functionality primarily revolving around automated lane changing. However, with the shackles of data security concerns gradually loosening, Tesla enthusiasts in China can anticipate a broader array of features synonymous with FSD. The significance of this regulatory breakthrough cannot be overstated, especially considering China's pivotal role as Tesla's largest market. Despite Tesla's popularity in China, concerns over data security have cast a shadow over its operations, with reports emerging of bans on Tesla vehicles in certain government-related properties. The Biden administration's probe into potential national security risks posed by imported Chinese cars further underscored the urgency for Tesla ( NASDAQ:TSLA ) to address data security concerns. The removal of restrictions represents a significant step towards assuaging these apprehensions and bolstering Tesla's foothold in the Chinese market. A potential partnership with Baidu, one of China's tech giants, could further bolster Tesla's foray into the Chinese market. Reports suggest that Tesla may gain access to Baidu's mapping and navigation technology, essential components for the seamless operation of FSD in China's complex urban landscape. This breakthrough not only signifies Tesla's resilience amidst fierce competition but also underscores its commitment to innovation and regulatory compliance. As local rivals such as BYD, Nio, and XPeng intensify their efforts to challenge Tesla's dominance, securing regulatory approval for FSD in China emerges as a pivotal win for the electric car pioneer. With Tesla's share ( NASDAQ:TSLA ) price experiencing a notable uptick following the regulatory breakthrough, the company is poised to capitalize on its momentum and solidify its position in the fiercely competitive Chinese electric vehicle market. As Tesla ( NASDAQ:TSLA ) rises from its recent lows, the stage is set for a new chapter in the company's journey toward revolutionizing transportation on a global scale.Longby DEXWireNews4

Bank of America recommends buying Tesla shares. Idea 29/04/24Bank of America has recently upgraded its rating on Tesla Inc. from 'Neutral' to 'Buy', highlighting a promising outlook for the electric vehicle giant. Analysts point to several growth drivers, including shorter timelines for launching new models, significant investments in artificial intelligence, and expanding autonomous driving technologies. Tesla's CEO Elon Musk's recent visit to China also plays a crucial role in this positive shift. During his trip, Musk discussed the deployment of Tesla's fully autonomous driving (FSD) software and data transfer regulations with Chinese officials. Chinese state media notably reported Musk's meeting with Premier Li Qian in Beijing as a testament to the robust economic and trade cooperation between the US and China, further cementing Tesla's foothold in the Chinese market. Given these developments, let's review the technical analysis of Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA) for potential trading opportunities: On the Daily (D1) timeframe, Tesla's stock demonstrates resistance at 175.90 USD and support at 138.80 USD. Last Wednesday's notable surge of 14.54% marked the most substantial one-day gain in three years, suggesting the possible onset of an uptrend. However, if the price resumes its previous downward trajectory, a target level of 111.05 USD could be expected. For traders, breaching the resistance at 175.90 USD could offer an attractive buying opportunity, with a short-term target of 205.60 USD. In a medium-term perspective, holding a long position with a target of up to 233.80 USD may be advisable. — Ideas and other content presented on this page should not be considered as guidance for trading or an investment advice. TESLA Has Elon made his miracle again? 4 month Resistance brokenNews quickly broke out that Tesla (TSLA) has received tentative approval from Beijing to launch its driver assistance software in China. This development occurred during a surprise visit by CEO Elon Musk to Tesla's largest market outside the US. Chinese authorities have agreed to allow Tesla to introduce its Full Self Driving (FSD) solution, leveraging mapping and navigation technology from Baidu (BIDU), the Chinese tech giant. This has so far pushed Tesla's shares more than +7.00% premarket. Just 2 weeks ago (April 15, see chart below), while TSLA's price was at $166, we made a case why a potential 1D MA50 (blue trend-line) bullish break-out after laying off more than 10% of its staff, could be its 'META moment', just like the social media giant did in November 2022 and bottomed: Of course each case has its differences but as we can see, Tesla did make a similar bottom on April 22 and will most likely open above the 1D MA50 today for the first time in almost 4 months (since January 08 2024)! That is a major bullish break-out for at least the medium-term as each time the stock did that in 2023, it didn't stop there and rather went for a Lower High on the dotted trend-line. Technically it should make contact with as least the 1D MA200 (orange trend-line), in order to allow the market given the fundamentals at the time to decide upon the longer term trend. As you can see, there is a huge Bullish Divergence on the 1D RSI, which has been trading within a Channel Up against the price's Channel Down since late January. As a result we set a minimum $210.00 Target on a 6-week horizon and then we will re-evaluate the longer term on the 1W time-frame. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** Please LIKE 👍, FOLLOW ✅, SHARE 🙌 and COMMENT ✍ if you enjoy this idea! TSLA ON A DEMAND ZONETSLA is clearly playing inside a bearish channel and we have witnessed a bullish reversal recently on the demand zone identified. If this level remains strong enough, we will see a potential continuation of the rally. Also on the lower timeframes, we see a bearish channel which indicates a bullish breakout.Longby traderchamp_1

The Robots are Coming. Tesla will be the leader. In 100 years, Tesla will be known as a robotics company that began as an auto manufacturer. Elon has described the coming robot products to likely bring the most profit and future growth for Tesla. EV cars are becoming more commoditized and margins are shrinking. Robots will be the next major class in consumer tech products, after smartphones.Longby inanis_2

Trading Diverging Chart PatternsContinuing our discussion on trading chart patterns, this is our next tutorial after Trading Converging Chart Patterns This tutorial is based on our earlier articles on pattern identification and classification. Algorithmic Identification of Chart Patterns Flag and Pennant Chart Patterns In this tutorial, we concentrate on diverging patterns and how to define rules to trade them systematically. The diverging patterns discussed in this tutorial are: Rising Wedge (Diverging Type) Falling Wedge (Diverging Type) Diverging Triangle Rising Triangle (Diverging Type) Falling Triangle (Diverging Type) 🎲 Historical Bias and General Perception Before we look into our method of systematic trading of patterns, let's have a glance at the general bias of trading diverging patterns. 🟡 The Dynamics of Diverging Wedge Patterns Diverging Wedge patterns are typically indicative of the Elliott Wave Structure's diagonal waves, potentially marking the ending diagonal waves. That means that the patterns may signal the ending of a long term trend. Hence, the diverging rising wedge is considered as bearish, whereas the diverging falling wedge is considered as bullish when it falls under Wave 5 of an impulse or Wave C of a zigzag or flat. For an in-depth exploration, refer to our detailed analysis in Decoding Wedge Patterns Both rising wedge and falling wedge of expanding type offers lower risk reward (High risk and low reward) in short term as the expanding nature of the pattern will lead to wider stop loss. 🎯 Rising Wedge (Expanding Type) Expanding Rising Wedge pattern is historically viewed with bearish bias. 🎯 Falling Wedge (Expanding Type) Expanding Falling Wedge pattern is historically viewed with bullish bias. 🟡 The Dynamics of Diverging Triangle Patterns Diverging pattern in general means increased volatility. Increased volatility during the strong trends also mean reducing confidence that may signal reversal. 🎲 Alternate Approach towards trading diverging patterns Lack of back testing data combined with subjectivity in Elliott wave interpretation and pattern interpretation makes it difficult to rely on the traditional approach. The alternative method involves treating all expanding patterns equally and define a systematic trading approach. This involves. When the pattern is formed, define a breakout zone. One side of the breakout zone will act as breakout point and the other side will act as reversal point. Depending on the breakout or reversal, trade direction is identified. Define the rules for entry, stop, target and invalidation range for both directions. This can be based on specific fib ratio based on pattern size. Backtest and Forward test the strategy and collect data with respect to win ratio, risk reward and profit factor to understand the profitability of patterns and the methodology. Breaking it down further. 🟡 Defining The Pattern Trade Conditions Base can be calculated in the following ways. Distance between max and min points of the pattern. (Vertical size of the pattern) Last zigzag swing of the pattern (This is generally the largest zigzag swing of the pattern due to its expanding nature) This Base is used for calculation of other criteria. 🎯 Breakout Zone - Entry Points Breakout zone can be calculated based on the following. Long Entry (top) = Last Pivot + Base * (Entry Ratio) Short Entry (bottom) = Last Pivot - Base * (Entry Ratio) If the direction of the last zigzag swing is downwards, then top will form the reversal confirmation and bottom will form the breakout confirmation. Similarly, if the direction of the last zigzag swing is upwards, then top will become the breakout confirmation point and bottom will act as reversal confirmation point. 🎯 Stops Long entry can act as stop for short and vice versa. However, we can also apply different rule for calculation of stop - this includes using different fib ratio for stop calculation in the reverse direction. Example. Long Stop = Last Pivot - Base * (Stop Ratio) Short Stop = Last Pivot + Base * (Entry Ratio) 🎯 Invalidation Invalidation price is a level where the trade direction for a particular pattern needs to be ignored or invalidated. Invalidation price can be calculated based on specific fib ratios. It is recommended to use wider invalidation range. This is to protect ignoring the potential trades due to volatility. Long Invalidation Price = Last Pivot - Base * (Invalidation Ratio) Short Invalidation Price = Last Pivot + Base * (Invalidation Ratio) 🎯 Targets Targets can either be set based on fib ratios, as explained for other parameters. However, the better way to set targets is based on expected risk reward. Target Price = Entry + (Entry-Stop) X Risk Reward 🟡 Back Test and Forward Test and Measure the Profit Factor It is important to perform sufficient testing to understand the profitability of the strategy before using them on the live trades. Use multiple timeframes and symbols to perform a series of back tests and forward tests, and collect as much data as possible on the historical outcomes of the strategy. Profit Factor of the strategy can be calculated by using a simple formula Profit Factor = (Wins/Losses) X Risk Reward 🟡 Use Filters and Different Combinations Filters will help us in filtering out noise and trade only the selective patterns. The filters can include a simple logic such as trade long only if price is above 200 SMA and trade short only if price is below 200 SMA. Or it can be as complex as looking into the divergence signals or other complex variables.Editors' picksEducationby Trendoscope77278
