Bitcoin: Another Rejection & Local Lower HighGood afternoon my dear friend, Looking at Bitcoin on the daily timeframe we now see a confirmation of MA200 as resistance. While in late September there was a fake breakout, this isn't the case this time around. Yesterday we can see Bitcoin making an attempt to move higher —BTCUSD tried to move above MA200 but failed. The session ended with a long upper wick and closing at the sessions low, a very strong negative candle. We have a short-term lower high and MA200 confirmed as resistance. These simple signals indicate that Bitcoin is ready to continue lower in the days, weeks and months to come. Thank you for reading. Bitcoin - Ready to grow again! Falling wedge is breaking out.Bitcoin is ready to go higher! I expect Bitcoin to hit 64,000 - 63,500 USDT in the immediate short-term for the following reasons: The falling wedge is breaking out, the price is now above the main trendline, and the downtrend is exhausted.  My Elliott Wave count suggests that we have completed the corrective pattern WXYXZ (triple three).  Bitcoin created 2 major FVG (fair value gaps) above the current price. Usually these gaps tend to be filled pretty quickly, so be ready for the bull price action! The 200 1H MA (simple moving average) needs to be tested as well. We saw a breakout of this MA, but never seen a retest of it. October is statistically an extremely profitable month for Bitcoin, so this gives us a statistical advantage. Bitcoin is currently the most bullish coin from the high-cap category. Altcoins are not performing well, why? For this, we need to look at the BTC.D (Bitcoin Dominance) chart. Bitcoin: Avoid Getting Caught In This.Bitcoin has retraced further than anticipated from my previous analysis (went to 60K instead of 64K support). There was never any price confirmation to go long on this time frame so you should have been able to avoid getting caught on the wrong side of such a move. While there appears to be a bullish correction of that move in progress now, it is important to prepare for the coming resistance where a lower high may unfold over the coming week (64K previous support/new resistance). The arrow on my chart points to the 64K resistance area. This location is notable for two important reasons: price can present a bearish reversal there on this time frame, and retest the level again as a profit objective in the near future. The illustration on my chart shows how I am anticipating the price action will play out in this regard. Keep in mind, this is NOT any kind of guarantee, it is what I believe has a greater possibility compared to a narrow range of scenarios over a short time horizon (click on previous articles to see how my illustrations play out). The whole point of sharing this analysis is to help you prepare for what the market can throw at you over the coming week. The key to using this information effectively is evaluating price action around these levels in search of CONFIRMATION (Trade Scanner Pro was made of this purpose). For example, over the previous week, Bitcoin broke the 64K anticipated support without ever confirming. There was never a reason to justify risk here, and every reason to step aside. Having a decision making model of this nature not only helps you to adjust to unexpected changes, but also avoid unnecessary losing positions. In terms of current momentum, there was an inside bar breakout at 62,300 (previous high) and a long signal in play. This type of opportunity is best managed by smaller time frame strategies (day/swing trades). This is far from an attractive investment level, especially since there is only about 1K points before first resistance (64K). I consider this location as one of elevated risk, especially compared to the possibility of retesting 60K support again to be followed by a bullish signal. The second bullish signal (off 60K) would be the lower risk/higher probability play. This is just a possible scenario that I will be prepared for IF Bitcoin presents and confirms it, this is NOT a forecast. Whether you are an investor or trader, you must have a way to objectively make decisions. A set of criteria to identify an opportunity, confirm entries, project exits and define risk. The time horizon that you choose will be an important factor that will shape how you process this information. As complex as all of this may sound, the goal is to accomplish this all while using as little information as possible. This is the LEAST you can do in a market environment where we as the retail trader/investor have NO advantage whatsoever. Otherwise you are simply stuffing your money into a glorified slot machine. Bitcoin Enters ‘Uptober’ After Exiting Q3 Flat: What to ExpectCrypto traders are keen to see another ‘Uptober’ — a term coined by the community to describe the outsized gains in Bitcoin prices for October. Historically, in eight of the last 11 Octobers the original cryptocurrency has pulled ahead big time. So what’s it gonna be this time? There’s a lot to unpack — let’s ride. Bitcoin prices BTC/USD signed off for September at just over $63,000 per coin, with a modest (by crypto standards) 8% rise . But if you zoom out to wrap up the third quarter, you’ll see that prices stayed flat, tight-lipped and straight up boring. Bitcoin barely realized a gain — it went up by less than 1% for the September quarter but seesawed like there’s no tomorrow. In true crypto fashion, the fire-breathing beast feeding on volatility went as low as $49,600 and as high as $70,000 — a wide gap of 40% from top to bottom. All who’ve been in crypto long enough are familiar with the stomach-churning volatility that can make even the most disciplined traders doubt their choices. Speaking of volatility, traders are now bracing for what’s historically shaping up to be a solid month for Bitcoin gains. October, dubbed by crypto faithful as “Uptober,” is already here and brings with it a whole new wave of expectations. Here’s why that is: October 2023 — Bitcoin was up 27% . October 2022 — Bitcoin was up 6%. October 2021 — Bitcoin was up 40%. October 2020 — Bitcoin was up 30%. October 2019 — Bitcoin was up 10%. October 2018 — Bitcoin was down 5%. October 2017 — Bitcoin was up 50%. October 2016 — Bitcoin was up 15%. October 2015 — Bitcoin was up 38%. October 2014 — Bitcoin was down 12%. October 2013 — Bitcoin was up 69%. What you see is that October performance is a thing — traders are already on the edge of their seats in anticipation of the next leg up. But before that, there’s a mosaic of data that needs to pan out. Nonfarm payrolls (NFP) data (drops October 4): The good old jobs report will show how many new workers joined the US economy in September. Fairly low expectations this time — Wall Street is eyeballing 144,000 new jobs, about the same as the previous month . The NFP figure will be complemented by the unemployment rate, expected to stay flat month-on-month at 4.2%. Consumer price index (drops October 10): US inflation is another big report that is likely to shake up the crypto landscape . For September, prediction gurus expect inflation to keep moving toward the Federal Reserve’s 2% target from an August clip of 2.5% . Lower inflation is good for solidifying prospects of interest rate cuts. And that is super good for the broader investment world, cash flows and overall liquidity across markets. Retail sales (drops October 17): retail sales are a solid measure of consumer spending. The more people buy expensive watches and things they don’t necessarily need, the better reading this report will carry. In other words, a strong retail sales figure will breathe more confidence in investors looking to jam cash into risk assets (yes, crypto included ). All that good stuff is likely to shape the trajectory of Bitcoin prices. But — and maybe even more important in the long run — these three data dumps will help the Federal Reserve decide if it’s a good idea to chop down the interest rate and how much, following the super-sized 50-bps slash . Rate moves and broad monetary policy decisions are likely to have an impact on Bitcoin, which has been increasingly sensitive to macroeconomic winds. For the technical minds, there is an interesting technical analysis pattern that might be worth looking into. A descending parallel channel is in the works, tracing its origins back to March 14, 2024. Fun fact: that’s the all-time record high for Bitcoin when prices peaked at more than $73,000 a pop . Since then, prices have been gradually losing their momentum, painting lower highs and lower lows. The latest bottom (September 6), which has provided enough resistance for a solid bounce, is sitting at $52,500. The next potential leg up is expected to take the price all the way up to around $67,000 in the short term, while the next potential leg down could pressure prices to a fresh low of $51,500 in the medium term. As traders set their sights on "Uptober," excitement is in the air, but it's not all confetti and moon rockets. October has a track record of delivering some big numbers, yes. But keep in mind that it’s not just a monthly performance number — behind it is an underlying force that has powered the price. So, should you blindly trust in historical performance? You could. But more importantly, you’ll likely be better off by preparing for what’s coming.

BITCOIN fractal alert! Happening exactly like last October!We talked a while ago regarding the 'October effect' (August 28, see chart below) on Bitcoin (BTCUSD). But today we need to make an urgent analysis as it appears that the market is repeating almost the exact sequence of a year ago (October 2023). The similarities are more obvious on the 1D time-frame where the price is currently ranged within the 1D MA50 (blue trend-line) and the 1D MA200 (orange trend-line). The most recent time it traded like this was exactly one year ago, back in the first two weeks of October 2023. As you can see, during that time BTC also made a marginal break above the 1D MA200 before quickly pulling back below it. After it tested and held the 1D MA50 (as it did no on October 01 2024), is started the long-term aggressive rally of the Channel Up that peaked on March 14 2024. As long as the 1W MA50 continues to hold as the long-term Support, there are high probabilities of seeing 100k, even before the end of 2024. But what do you think? TSUNAMI WAVE phase 4 Stay encouraged: even in what looks and seems to look like a CRASH isn’t. Here is some proof of evidence. MA from before and where it’s headed. Here you have once again. What we all thought was a BULL MARKET was an actual BEAR MARKET. The BULL MARKET will bring TOP TIERS of values. The fall from ATH has made the DIP. Now the wave phase 4 is clear. BITCOIN The 'March-October' effect kickstarting an insane rally.Back in August we were first to discover and bring to you the 'March - October' effect (see chart below) on Bitcoin (BTCUSD), which is what every one is talking about now as we've started the month of October yesterday and the final quarter (Q4) of the year: As you can see, this is nothing more than a consolidation that the market tends to make within this 6-month range that ends on October, which kick starts an aggressive rally. That was the case in 2020 (would be more flawless if the COVID crash hadn't distorted the chart) and more recently in 2023. Note that historically October shows gains of around +21.00%. What we can additionally keep from this chart is that the 1W MA50 (blue trend-line) held on three 1W candle tests since the August 05 Low and that provides the base for a potential October 2024 - March 2025 rally. March 2025 has high chances of forming the peak of the rally as it historically tends to tops such Bullish Legs and then starts consolidation phases. That was the case on March 2024, March 2023, March 2021 and (as mentioned) if it weren't for the COVID flash crash, would have been most likely the case for March 2020. All in all, even though the first two days haven't been ideal, we expect October to prepare the foundation for an incredible rally, especially on its last 2 weeks, a rally that might very well reach as high as $150000 before it enters a correction again. The Formula That Helped Me Get Into in the Top 2% of TradersI spent years testing different strategies, obsessing over charts, and trying to find the perfect entry point. It took me a while to realize that it wasn’t just about picking the right trades—it was about knowing how much to risk on each trade. This is where the Kelly Criterion came into play and changed my entire approach. You’ve probably heard the saying, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” Well, Kelly Criterion takes that idea and puts some hard math behind it to tell you exactly how much you should risk to maximize your long-term growth. It’s not a guessing game anymore—it’s math, and math doesn’t lie. What is Kelly Criterion? The Kelly Criterion is a formula that helps you figure out the optimal size of your trades based on your past win rate and the average size of your wins compared to your losses. It’s designed to find the perfect balance between being aggressive enough to grow your account but cautious enough to protect it from major drawdowns. F = W - (1 - W) / R F is the fraction of your account you should risk. W is your win rate (how often you win). R is your risk/reward ratio (the average win relative to the average loss). Let’s break it down. How It Works Let’s say you have a strategy that wins 60% of the time (W = 0.6), and your average win is 2x the size of your average loss (R = 2). Plugging those numbers into the formula, you’d get: F = 0.6 - (1 - 0.6) / 2 F = 0.6 - 0.4 / 2 F = 0.6 - 0.2 = 0.4 So, according to Kelly, you should risk 40% of your account on each trade. Now, 40% might seem like a lot, but this is just the theoretical maximum for optimal growth. The thing about using the full Kelly Criterion is that it’s aggressive. A 40% recommended risk allocation, for example, can be intense and lead to significant drawdowns, which is why many traders use half-Kelly, quarter-Kelly or other adjustments to manage risk. It’s a way to tone down the aggressiveness while still using the principle behind the formula. Personally, I don’t just take Kelly at face value—I factor in both the sample size (which affects the confidence level) and my max allowed drawdown when deciding how much risk to take per trade. If the law of large numbers tells us we need a good sample size to align results with expectations, then I want to make sure my risk management accounts for that. Let’s say, for instance, my confidence level is 95% (which is 0.95 in probability terms), and I don’t want to allow my account to draw down more than 10%. We can modify the Kelly Criterion like this: 𝑓 = ( ( 𝑊 − 𝐿 ) / 𝐵 )× confidence level × max allowed drawdown Where: 𝑊 = W is your win probability, 𝐿 = L is your loss probability, and 𝐵 = B is your risk-reward ratio. Let’s run this with actual numbers: Suppose your win probability is 60% (0.6), loss probability is 40% (0.4), and your risk-reward ratio is still 2:1. Using the same approach where the confidence level is 95% and the max allowed drawdown is 10%, the calculation would look like this: This gives us a risk percentage of 0.95% for each trade. So, according to this adjusted Kelly Criterion, based on a 60% win rate and your parameters, you should be risking just under 1% per trade. This shows how adding the confidence level and max drawdown into the mix helps control your risk in a more conservative and tailored way, making the formula much more usable for practical trading instead of over-leveraging. Why It’s Powerful Kelly Criterion gives you a clear, mathematically backed way to avoid overbetting on any single trade, which is a common mistake traders make—especially when they’re chasing losses or getting overconfident after a win streak. When I started applying this formula, I realized I had been risking too much on bad setups and too little on the good ones. I wasn’t optimizing my growth. Once I dialed in my risk based on the Kelly Criterion, I started seeing consistent growth that got me in the top 2% of traders on TradingView leap competition. Kelly in Action The first time I truly saw Kelly in action was during a winning streak. Before I understood this formula, I’d probably have gotten greedy and over-leveraged, risking blowing up my account. But with Kelly, I knew exactly how much to risk each time, so I could confidently scale up while still protecting my downside. Likewise, during losing streaks, Kelly kept me grounded. Instead of trying to "make it back" quickly by betting more, the formula told me to stay consistent and let the odds play out over time. This discipline was key in staying profitable and avoiding big emotional trades. Practical Use for Traders You don’t have to be a math genius to use the Kelly Criterion. It’s about taking control of your risk in a structured way, rather than letting emotions guide your decisions. Whether you’re new to trading or have been in the game for years, this formula can be a game-changer if applied correctly. Final Thoughts At the end of the day, trading isn’t just about making the right calls—it’s about managing your risks wisely. The Kelly Criterion gives you a clear path to do just that. By understanding how much to risk based on your win rate and risk/reward ratio, you’re not just gambling—you’re playing a game with a serious edge. Bitcoin Weekly: Upper Resistance ChallengedGood afternoon my dear friend, Bitcoin closed three consecutive weeks green in September and this pushed prices as high as the red descending trendline shown on the chart. Each time this resistance level is challenged, we see a continuation of the bearish trend, a down-move. Immediately after the third green week, the proceeding week Bitcoin closed red, that's last week. The red candle last week removed all the gains from the prior week and pushed prices a bit lower than the weekly open. This week, also red, we see an upper wick and the action happening at the session low. Based on candlestick reading, this is extremely bearish price action. ➖ We have the bearish signal of starting the month red. ➖ We now have a bearish signal as we start the week red. ➖ Challenging the descending trendline and seeing a rejection is also a strong signal that points toward lower prices next. Since March 2024, each time this trendline is challenged we see a major drop. The action we are seeing now and what we saw last week confirms this pattern. We continue to see MA200 trading around $39,965. This level works as a magnet pulling Bitcoin's price toward it. We are looking at the weekly timeframe. ➢ Everything continues to point down. I will keep you updated if there is any change. While MA200 is the main support, this is not likely the last and final low. It can take weeks before the low is in, or a little more than a month. Bitcoin: 70K Objective Within Range.Bitcoin has pushed beyond the 64K resistance but is now hesitating with the appearance of an inside bar. If the high of the inside bar is cleared, that would be a momentum continuation signal which can see price push into the 67 to 69K resistance. If the low of the inside bar is cleared, a retrace can unfold which can take price back into the 63 to 64K area (old resistance/new support). The key to navigating this is WAITING for confirmation and having your parameters and expectations predefined. Reacting to market events is typical retail behavior most often a mistake. The illustration on my chart shows the scenario that I am anticipating over the coming week. (See my previous articles to see these play out). While there is NO way to know if price will follow this path, IF price action confirms, this scenario has a greater probability. I am able to identify these opportunities from carefully evaluating TREND and SUPPORT/RESISTANCE levels. I am simply FOLLOWING what the market is implying through price. I don't have to get overwhelmed with "fundamentals", and "news" and other propaganda because price factors in ALL the known information in the world in a given moment (Efficient Markets). If you understand this concept, it then becomes much easier to recognize opportunities and most importantly measure the associated RISK. The arrow on my chart points to a predetermined price area (63 to 64K) to watch for If reached. This would be the lowest risk/highest probability point if confirmation appears. Ideal for swing trades especially where reward/risk can reasonably be 2:1 or greater. The reward/risk component depends on how you define risk at the time of the signal (this is what I use Trade Scanner Pro for). You can also use the next support level or candle stick low which is better than nothing. What is also compelling about this situation is the changing interest rate environment. While the change will not have an instant to the moon effect, it will offer a more supportive environment over time. This will be ESPECIALLY important during pullbacks when support levels are tested. This charge also calls for a closer look at low priced small caps/alt coins because they are poised to benefit from the increasing money supply resulting from lower rates. NOW is the time to be looking to invest, NOT at all time highs. I will be talking more about this soon as well. How you use this information will mostly depend on your decision making structure. A seemingly more bullish environment does not guarantee trades/investments will work out. Although it does provide for a more forgiving market. Know your RISK before you enter any type of position and this can be defined by using information straight from your chart. For example if Bitcoin confirms a long at 64K, I automatically know risk on this time frame can be at least 1 to 2K points. From there, a profit objective and sizing regime can be worked out. If you are not this organized, do NOT risk real money until you have some kind of management or decision making structure in place. Thank you for considering my analysis and perspective.

This bullish dragonfly doji has not closed but it's reading out BULLISH MOMENTUM for our coming months. Beware; after 5 pm Pacific time, a minor downtrend then will reverse, and this may last for some time.
