ACC Ltd. engages in the manufacture and sale of various kinds of cements. It operates through the following segments: Cement and ancilliary services, and Ready Mix Concrete. The Cement and ancilliary services segment is a clinker resulting from mixing at suitable rates, grinding and firing raw material such as limestone, clay, iron ore, fly ash, bauxite and certain amount of setting regulator are ground together and set after mixing with water and gains strength. Ancilliary services include lease of land to the immediate Holding Company for mining activities through step-down subsidiaries. The Ready Mix Concrete segment is concrete that is manufactured in a batch plant, according to a set engineered mix design. The company was founded on August 1, 1936 and is headquartered in Ahmedabad, India.
