On the weekly, this is a relatively young IPO that's been working on stage 1 after a brutal stage 4 decline. Holding in the upper range now and showing institutional demand.

Held up very well last couple weeks with handle low potentially in.
Coupang is breaking out of strong resistance that it has tested 4 times (now 5) in the past 18 months. Once it clears $20, expect it to retest the resistance band and flip it to support. Its next levels of resistance are $25 and $30 based on its previous crashing pattern. I expect this stock to reach $40 this year.

Looked at this after seeing it on Druckenmillers 13f. It will likely reject at the AVWAP from the August 2023 high, but momentum indicators have turned bullish. Note the purple AVWAP from IPO overhead trending toward ~20.50, which coincides with consensus 12mo price targets
Analyzing the options chain and the chart patterns of CPNG Coupang prior to the earnings report this week,
I would consider purchasing the 16.40usd strike price Puts with
an expiration date of 2023-11-17,
for a premium of approximately $0.65.
If these options prove to be profitable prior to the earnings release, I would sell at least half of them.
Looking forward...
Price coiling above 200DMA on a 7x volume. Yesterday's reversal was very timely. now it needs to push to 20 and again base there for a breakout to test 27 where sellers would show up.
Plenty of time to get in. test of 20 and breakout will provide bigger R/R as nervous sellers could put downward pressure below.

The level of competition in S Korea is starting to add up on CPNG.
It seems they want to bring some kind of relief to shareholders by trying to bring in profits this year.
But.... slowing growth and prospects for a smaller consumer base this next quarter...

Good risk to reward and will watch for any drop below $14 to indicate weakness. If the price breaks above the 200-period moving average, then the profit target will be $28.
See my previous post. I'm still holding, like a mentioned before this is going to take some time to build up. I'm willing to wait because if it breaks out is going to be massive.
Interesting setup. Price has been accumulating since August 2022, I may need more accumulation but I'm willing to wait out. I have this in my long term portfolio, when it breaks is going to be violent.
