IS THIS IT? AFTER WAITING FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR, WILL TREASURIES FINALLY BREAKDOWN???
Hitting the lower WEEKLY Bollinger Band Previous range highs as potential support. Previous range trendline coming into play soon.
From AP: ISTANBUL, Aug 12 (Reuters) - The Turkish lira sank to a fresh record low of 7.24 to the dollar in early Asia Pacific trade, as investor worries over the state of the economy and deteriorating ties with the United States continued to drag down the currency. By 1903 GMT on Sunday - early Monday morning in the Asia Pacific - the lira was at 7.06 against...
Start looking for a bounce. Don't be an idiot and go all in, either play the flush sub 6k or look for a trend reversal for confirmation.
I've got a good amount of long deltas on in Nasdaq components, so all I'm doing here is gameplanning what a rollover could do. We had a clear failed breakout, where the new highs were followed by that trainwreck of facebook earnings. That led to increased selling before this small bounce. Right now, the bounce... well, it's OK but it's not aggressive. If price...
Don't expect NFLX to trade the same as it did over the past few years.
News is coming out how the top 5 stocks are responsible for the majority of the gains in the market. Well.... so what? This is the QQEW, an equal weighted index of the Nasdaq 100. It's also near highs. Saying "OH GOD AMAZON AND FACEBOOK ARE UP SO MUCH" isn't a reason to be aggressively short the market.
Up 3.7% in 7 Days with a strong winning streak. Look for new marginal highs and then a pullback from there.
If the stock can clear 30 within the next few days, it's a long up to the 35 level.
Sell to Open PEP Jun 95 Put @1.59 Basis: 93.41 Return on Basis: 1.7% Return With 50% Margin: 3.4% Portfolio Margin on 10% Drop: $2,548 Return on PM: 6.24% If assigned, then sell calls. Pull in a dividend of 0.80 to cut basis down to 92.61. Then sell a call for $1.00 and you're down to 91.61. I think I did the math right.
Need to find a way to time these better. IPO runner with parabolic spikes and failures, the short term bases offer good entries. Maybe buy those breakouts, sell half into the next resistance level and let the rest run.
Simpler to look for a failed breakdown than it is to chase the breakout here. See AMZN and BABA charts for similar examples... I think they all hit on the same day due to Italy macro news.
Very similar to AMZN setup. Big move post earnings, settles into a range. This one was interesting because damn near everyone was looking for the breakout but there was just a heavy offer sitting there for like two weeks. Gap down and early weakness into the lower end of the earnings range, but that fails. An entry there gives enough cushion to anticipate the...
