AAPL: To Buy or not to BUY...that is the question.

Long
NASDAQ:AAPL   Apple Inc
What an amazing run since 2003. Blue TL is 100 Week MA. Green is 200 Week MA.

Tim Crook I mean Cook has largely benefited from one of the greatest CEO's and dreamers the world has ever known. No other than Mr. Jobs. himself. CEO Tim Crook, I mean Cook, has been riding the Job's legacy ever since he stepped in as CEO. You can't blame the Mofo. Jobs probably pre-selected him as his predecessor knowing deep down he'd follow the course and his plan after he died.

However, what Tim Cook has done is scalped the smart phone industry. Even with dismal updates year after year they were able to bleed this market dry like a well organized El Chapo gangsta. I mean have you ever seen another situation where people were so envious about an 1 inch increase in size....other than enlargment pills? People were addicted to its brand and false sense of innovation. Despite having an inferior product year after year they even had the brash to come out with at $1200 dollar phone that didn't do that much more than a standard Galaxy. Big balls.

Yes they still have the best balance sheet on record. In fact, a global recession would probably do them well. They have enough cash on hand to make smart mergers and acquistions to weather even a great depression if it were to materialize. And the harder a recession hits the more it damages their competitors. Their large cash balance gives them basically bullet proof status.

So fundamentally, despite their lack of innovation I'm long AAPL. There balance sheet is just too perfect. If we enter a global recession in the next 12-24 months I'm doubling down on AAPL. They will gain strength in horrible market times.

Technically the chart is very interesting as well. This is the 3rd or 4th time since late Dec 2008 AAPL has touched its 200 week MA and we just finished the 5th super wave. We are going under an ABC correction which I believe will be a flat correction thru Q1 2019. It's always been very smart to buy in this region in the past decade and this should still hold true going forward.

Let's see how this whole China/US trade war goes. If it continues to go more south than we know AAPL has a little more downside risk. But if you just want to get some exposure this isn't a bad time at all to start accumulating. my Cramer impression, BUY, BUY, BUY and dollar cost average. maybe we'll get lucky and see a 89 dollar price.
