NASDAQ:AMD   Advanced Micro Devices Inc
Idea: relief rally should have happened both bull and bear sides are scared about holding into the weekend. Ideally 4RR trade. Leaving put spreads close to ITM and calls higher up for bullish bias.

Reason: Low risk setup for a weird risk day and itching for a trade. The second reason will be the death of me :)

Edit: Oct. 19*

Fantastic. Time to wait for yet another Monday open whiplash.

Comment:
My main concern right now is getting assigned early on the $48 short call and having it fall right after. Unfortunately I chose 3/06 expiries, and the theta decay on the $49 long call means I've only lost on the call spread. I'm considering rolling the call spread up to later expiration...not sure yet. The gaps all around 47.5/48/49 look related to the short-term strikes.

Note: These pictures don't show intraday extended sessions so they're a bit different, calculate indicators differently too

I feel pretty confident this is a bounce point. Bought call debit 04/19 $48/$49 for $0.44 for half the credit received ($0.78). Now I am mildly protected from the upside and would receive $.38 if I'm totally wrong about direction. And if it doesn't move.

For the short term, flipped the 04/17* to credit for '$1.03', short $49/long $50 at ~$49.20. Feels really dumb
Comment:
Flipped back to debit spread for 04/17 with no real benefit from the small drop, didn't roll the call spread expiring tomorrow. Price pumped from max profit into loss in after-market, credit from the put spread + the debit spread could cover it.

Seems from this trade that entering initially with directional bias would've benefited me despite >100% IV on both sides

The AMD analyst day was Thursday, forgot to write it down.

Comment:
Closed out for a low credit (bought back for .52). Didn't wake up in time and my just in case close order was hit within the first hour of open.

48/49 call debit spread closed for slightly under B/E because I didn't feel it needed to be held with the main trade being closed.

Sorry if I haven't replied to your message yet, I'm a bit backlogged :)
