Hash Ribbons: A bullish indicator on when to buy Bitcoin

Long
BNC:BLX   Bitcoin Liquid Index
The hash ribbons is a recent bullish indicator on when to buy Bitcoin and Litecoin. Go to trading view, go to "indicators", and type in "hash ribbons". Add it to your charts and you will see the buy signals. They are few, but if followed have been, and probably will be lucrative for the long term patient HODL'er.

On the BLX weekly chart you will see you could have gotten a buy signal on 12/26/11 at $5.28 for Bitcoin. Also on 6/18/12 at $6.35 and 2/4/13 at $23.80. What if you had just bought $1000 worth of Bitcoin from the first date's signal to the last date's signal and held until Nov 2013 and sold? You would have bought $58,000 worth of Bitcoin at a DCA of $9.54 and owned 6080 Bitcoin. You could have sold your BTC at $1000 in Nov 2013 for $6,080,000 or 104 fold your $58000 investment.

The next buy signal came at the end of the 2014 bear market on 1/26/15 at $227.01. Then the next buy signal was 5/25/15 at $231.56 and finally 8/22/16 at $572.67. You could have bought $1000 per week of Bitcoin from the first buy signal to the last and held until Dec 2017 and sold at say $19000. You would have had a DCA of $373.30 and you would have bought 220 BTC. You would have sold them for $4.17 M and made 51 fold your $82000 investment.

Litecoin had the same buy date signals as Bitcoin. You could have bought at $1.81 on 1/26/15, $1.63 on 5/25/15, and finally $3.77 on 8/22/16. You could have invested $1000 per week from the first to the last buy signal and then held until Dec 2017 and sold at say $320 per Litecoin for $8.23 M or 100 fold your $82000 investment. Your DCA on your buys would have been $3.19.

I think you will be able to get 25 fold your investment in BTC and 50 fold your investment in Litecoin if you had started buying from 1/7/19 on the first buy signal for Bitcoin at $3533 and $30.51 in Litecoin. Another buy signal occurred in the last 24 hours on the hash ribbons indicator at $7245 for BTC and $43.53. JMHO; not financial advice
