Alt market capitalisation divided by the Bitcoin market price to exclude Bitcoin price distortions.

Quite often alts and Bitcoin are strongly coupled. Here the altoin market cap is divided by the Bitcoin price to remove any such coupling from the trend.

btw, in case you didn't get my terrible explanation. This is the alt market cap priced in terms of BTC.
