XAUUSD: Go(l)d moves in mysterious ways

Gold is ponderous.
It takes its time, keeps a low profile, plays with its cards close to its chest and basically does what it wants.
What can be said with certainty, though, is that the long-term trend is upwards, but the channel is so wide
that there is enough room for surprises and disappointments of all kinds. It is not a game for the impatient.
Will it touch the upper channel wall this time before going down again?
Only Go(l)d knows... Don't think it's a foregone conclusion.
Comment:
What am I saying?
As never before, strategy and discipline are crucial to
"cut your losses short and let your winners run".

For example: Unless you have a better idea, sell Gold as soon as it crosses the red line on my chart to the downside, no matter how you feel about the future prospects.

Just found something related to this, it's just great!

The song lyrics are great, too:

God moves in a mysterious way,
His wonders to perform;
He plants his footsteps in the sea
And rides upon the storm.

Deep in unsearchable mines
Of never-failing skill,
He treasures up his bright designs
And works his sovereign will.

And ye fearful saints, fresh courage take,
The clouds you so much dread
Are big with mercy and shall break
In blessings on your head.

Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
But trust him for his grace;
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.

His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower.

And ye fearful saints, fresh courage take,
The clouds you so much dread
Are big with mercy and shall break
In blessings on your head.

Blind unbelief is sure to err
And scan his work in vain;
For God is his own interpreter
And he will make it plain.

In His own time, in His own way,
In His own time, in His own way,
We trust your time, we trust your way

And ye fearful saints, fresh courage take,
The clouds you so much dread
Are big with mercy and shall break
In blessings on your head.
