Breakout
Bitcoin : key levels and significant resistance trend line.Hello fellas, Happy monday and have a good weeks ahead. a new week, new passion and I hope a new extra profit for us! let's talk about the key levels for bitcoin which will cover the support , resistance and the correlation with the fibonacci levels.
As you can see, that the weekly candle is about to close in less than 2 hours when I made this post and the newest weekly candle close isn't significant at all for me. currently the weekly candle is forming an unknown pattern making it very random and neutral. That's why, I am not trying to explain my bias in this post. I just want to share about the analysis of price action and key levels that I've found interesting
If you see my chart, I've shared 2 colored region which the grey region represent the key support and the blue region represent the key resistances. Each of this key levels here is moving align with the fibonacci levels. and I want you to highlight the period after November 5th, 2018.
First action is at May 13th, 2019 the price has already broken up of the resistance zone and on June 3th 2019 the resistance zone retested and produced a bounce before another break out.
Second significant action is at June 24th, 2019 candle. A really nasty wick has occured after the price tried to breaks the 50% fibonacci retracement and ended up getting rejected. After that the price was trying to break out of this 50% fibonacci levels again and always got a rejection toward the upside and it formed a shooting star candle. and for me, this action is very significant and has proven this region as a heavy region.
Another highlighted thing that I want to share is the green line. after a break out at April 2019 (yellow sign) I haven't seen any retest toward this previous resistance that is now become support as well (remember my 3 phase break out strategy). Ideally, before the end of the year, I really wish that bitcoin will test this green line again as support.
Thank you.
FTSEMIB, FTSE MIB Index - Potential Breakout on ParabolaINDEX:FTSEMIB
The parabolic support guides us on a possible breakage of this resistance on the Italian index would make very interesting from the point of view of Risk Reward this potential trade since from that level onwards would meet much less resistance giving confidence to buyers to ride a possible trend.

How to avoid Fakeouts and find breakouts for noobs
You have to set support and resistance lines. those are easy to see levels of indecision.
Then find the average price, this is used to signal the end of the channel when the price action finds it as resistance .
If the price goes above the average price it will most likely going up and below, going down.
set you buy limit slightly above the top of the channel because if its a fake out you'll buy when you target is hit then it'll drop down but if it is a real break out it'll keep going and then hit your target.
When to sell is completely up to you. But I would sell before hitting the next level of resistance and getting stomped down.
**If it goes down from the support line just stay away until it bottoms out and then restart this process.
NSC, Norfolk Southern Corp. - Trend Analysis & PatternsNYSE:NSC
Why do I choose technical analysis for trading?
Because the psychological state of traders / investors is always a representation on a scale between greed and fear, which creates in all markets patterns that repeat themselves for more than a hundred years, and if you are aware of their % profitability, and the difference between the amount of profit compared to the amount of loss, you would know statistically how your account would behave.
And if you would know how to manage your capital in terms of recapitalization and allocation, then I see no reason not to operate in this way.
This is also confirmed by my results with respect to the theory. The % of annual profits, maximum drawdowns and periods of underwater that are extremely aligned with the results of my backtest made right on this type of trading.
AEP, American Electric Power Co. Inc. - Rectangle PatternNYSE:AEP
People like to use indicators or oscillators many times to predict the next trend.
Actually they can help you, but they will always be late.
And above all, what do you do if they are in contrast with each other?
Most importantly, do you have a backtest that proves in the long run that their use is profitable and valid on multiple markets and assets?
We go ahead on our technical analysis, aware of what makes us through backtest statistics and confirmed in real operation for years now aware of the deviation that may have on the annual average.
In this case we are waiting for a long breakout of this rectangle if it happens, knowing what is the Risk/Reward, the %Profitability, the size of the position aware of the entry and exit point and risk management.

Litecoin is at the golden pocket, Break out playMy 2nd watch list will be on litecoin. This is very interesting whenever you see the price is trending at APEX because it means we will see a huge volatility to occur very soon. I see it at the Litecoin right now.
Litecoin is now trending at the golden pocket zone based on the fibonacci retracement calculation and beside this fact, I see a possible 5th wave structure downward is going to finish soon which I will label current wave with the A wave.
Based on MACD and RSI, I see a bullish divergence on RSI, golden crossover on MACD and the histogram is ticking up at the positive side.
I will open long entry ONLY if the price can break the yellow trend line with a good volume and will targeting around $100 region for possible B wave. if the price break below the golden pocket, I will looking for short opportunity and targeting the $50 as my swing target (78.6% fibonacci retracement)
Deja vu on RippleOne of the most interesting altcoins that I am seeing right now is XRP especially for long term hold. Just if you remember about the 2017 phenomenal bull run that occur on crypto market in general, you will see a similar pattern on XRP with current pattern. both of them form a huge descending triangle. And at 2017, the price broke out of the upper line of the triangle and produce a killer 1500% profit only within a month! Will this pattern become the same as of the 2017?
In my opinion, I will be very cautious at this rate, especially the price is still moving inside the triangle and as long as it hasn't break out of the upper line, I won't do any action. So, my entry area is when the price do break out action at current triangle. considering it is now very near the APEX, we will know the answer really soon.
How to play the breakouts!?!Lately, there has been a lot of buzz about BTC! Will it breakout or not? In the end, it did not as we predicted with the accuracy of a surgent in our most viewed post till now that you can find in RELATED IDEAS.
Here is a nice school example of how ETH does the breakouts and probably similar pattern will be played in the near future. We will write more about that in the next posts but for now, let's focus on the lessons.
A double top has been a pattern that ETH forms quiet often. Probably cause of false hopes when people just wait for ETH to do the same run as BTC and then hope gets denied or to say it better - run postponed!
It happened before (2017), it happened in the near past (2019) and it will probably happen in the near future.
In order to get the best return in time (RIT) and not only the best return on investment (ROI), it's important to know when to expect the moon so a trader can optimize his or her positions.
Actually, trading is not about buying at the cheapest price, but buying (or selling) close to the time when the price will move the most. So when is that?
In this example, it's clear that after breakout retest!
People usually FOMO when the breakout happens but history shows that in most cases it will be retested.
However, at the point of best entry (RIT), some start to get scared that the breakout was not successful.
Some might even sell in panic (FUD - Fear, uncertainty, and doubt).
This post is made in order to remember what to do and how to work with your emotions (fear, anger,...) when we are close to breakouts.
Buy the retest! Patience is always the key. Keep calm, use the knowledge and you should be fine.
Take care and GL!
PS: You can see Elliot Waves count in this example also, but let's leave that for some other occasion.
For now, it is just important to know that in this example wave 4 needs to be higher than wave 1.

FIB, RSI, MACD, AND BREAKOUT PATTERNS ARE TRASH! (MUST WATCH!)I'm aware the title has offended you. Read through this post anyway, I'm sure I touch up on your complaints.
Stop forming your identity around your strategy. Even I am not immune to this. it’s all too common to form a personal relationship with the tools you’re using to trade. Whether that’s the indicators on your chart, your Gann shooting star wave pattern Fibonacci double top, or your boutique breakout patterns. It doesn’t matter how bland, innovative, common it is or if it’s the “golden standard” everyone worships and trusts. I’m happy that you like it and found something you identify with. It should be nice and comfy for you to settle into that confirmation bias, “Mm, yes it is indeed a double top” as you scroll through the fifth page of the Tradingview ideas section, pinpointing the chart that agrees with you.
There’s a better way to do things. I don’t care what you’re using, maybe, just maybe, there’s a way to improve your strategy. I can confirm this idea is seen as wildly offensive. Ask someone why their strategy works and they’ll cringe like you just asked them if their spouse is cheating. “How dare you question their effectiveness! I’ll let you know we have a long history together and I love them very much.” I’m sure you do, but have you noticed some of the warning signs? They’re all right there in front of you. It may not feel good when I ask, but if the signs are there and 3/4ths of marriages fail, it wouldn’t sit well with me if I didn’t speak up just to keep you comfy cozy.
Analogies aside, your “spouse” is your strategy. The warning sign is that you keep on losing trades, blaming your loses on “volatility” without wanting to admit what the real problem is. Perhaps you’re still green for now, just wait for a larger sample size of a trade history. Much like your imaginary marriage, the odds are wildly against you. Why do you think 95 plus percent of traders fail? You can massage data however you like, the problem is at some point you decided to stop improving because you got confident.
If you met a tribe in the wilderness who planted fish in their fields as “an offering to their gods” in order to grow bigger crops, what do you do? Do you keep quiet about their ways? Sure, their crops WILL grow larger because of this tradition, but not for the reasons they believe. Would providing them industrial fertilizer and a crop rotation plan improve their crop output? Absolutely, but that would require that they admit they’re wrong and would be contrary to their identity. You’d get the response “but it’s worked for us so far! What we’re using is a proven standard.” Their blind faith in their dogma would prevent them from seeing that maybe, just maybe their is a better way to do things. If you don’t know why something works, you need to be skeptical regardless of how effective it is. Don’t be satisfied with mediocrity, comfort and undeserved confidence will only get you so far. There will always be someone with more experience, money, knowledge, and connections than you. You’ve brought a knife to a gun fight and have decided not to pick up the gun because you got some lucky stabs in. What’s worse is this even isn’t a gunfight, it’s thermonuclear war between institutional investors.
If you're a middle school basketball star, do you cry when you skin your knees after getting fouled when you chose to play street ball in downtown Detroit? No, because you should have known what you were getting into, and if you do cry, all the street ballers will tear you to shreds. If you don't want to play street ball and learn to play like everyone else does, go back to your middle school basketball court. If you can't understand why you keep getting hurt trading crypto and are unwilling to adopt the winning fighting style, go back to trading securities. Winners don't need to play by the rules of "golden standard" of TA.
What if the "golden standard" is only so because they're tools that make you predictable for people who know better? If you have the masses all trading the same information, that makes for predictable moves.
Predictable traders make for a predictable market. A predictable market makes for a profitable market. The only reason you've been given the "golden standard" is to provide liquidity for those with more buying power, resources, knowledge, experience and connections than you.
Specifically concerning the crypto market, there are additional flaws.
"There’s a general point here to make about standard oscillators like RSI: the numbers used for them basically assume conventional markets and typical oscillating ranges.
They were not designed to describe dramatically trending coins.
In such trends, they tend to go deep into “oversold”/“overbought” territory and persist. You may get several divergences before the one that actually reverses after exhaustion.
I wouldn’t call it useless so much as having far lower predictive power than advertised.
It’s also something so widely used that you can virtually guaranteed not to have an edge from that information." -acatwithcharts
If you ARE interested in a better way to do things, I am inclined to think my findings aren't half bad. Click through the links below and in my signature to learn more about how I do things differently.
The Japanese Yen is above the 20 day ema J61!
The Japanese Yen is above the 20-day ema. the last time it was above it was on January 30.
The money flow is currently downwards so we should watch for further consolidation on the 20D ema.
Those are my levels, lower Purple (0.23 fib) is the old support. The new support is the 20 day-ema and upper purple line is the resistance.
The green levels go from green to greener
XRPBTC Consolidation - Breaking UP or DOWN?? Been observing this ticker for a few days now, notice on how the trendlines are drawn:
- From higher high to lower high to lower high
- From lower low to higher low to higher low
The two trendlines looks like they are converging to a single point.
This is a consolidation pattern of price action and price is about to break out from the pattern. On a Daily Time Frame, some of you may be able to identify the "Inside Bars". At this moment, market watchers will be asking this Golden Question - Is it breaking UP or breaking DOWN?
One group of traders I know, we call them the breakout traders. They will place their Buy/Sell Stop Orders a certain price outside the two trendlines and anticipate to get in to catch the move, either up or down it doesn't matter to them.
There are another group of traders who are directional, they do their analysis and "place their bet" on buying or selling the market according to their market bias. They get the best entry price but at the same time, they are exposing to the risks that are far more worst if the market goes against them.
What I prefer is to wait and anticipate where price is heading and identify its turning points. Using methods such as Harmonics Patterns and Supply Demand, I am able to mark out the price area that price is likely going to turn, and it is at these areas that I am interested to take my trades to protect myself as i have a good risk management.
Which are the best methods? There is no right or wrong answer, I recommend to choose the right strategy that suits your personality and your lifestyle.

Kyber Network’s (KNC) Price Jumps Over 50% in Saturday BreakoutKyber Network (KNC), a decentralized exchange protocol, surged over 50% on Saturday to $0.40, a price last seen in November. The breakout comes on the back of more than a month of gains following the release of the project’s 2019 roadmap at the end of January.
Bullish Trade Example: Foot Locker Notice the up arrows around the Blue indicator lines. These indicator lines show good levels to buy
The longer the holding period, the bigger the gains (usually). Trade Example: Foot Locker – FL
It is very easy to read price action if you have a reference point. These support/resistance lines are there to help you read where the buyers and sellers are likely to make a stand.
MasterChartsTrading Price Action Indicators show good price levels to enter or exit at trade.
The Blue indicator line serves as a Bullish Trend setter.
If your instrument closes above the Blue line, we think about going Long (buying).
For commodities and Forex, when your trading instrument closes below the Red line, we think about Shorting (selling).
For Stocks, I prefer to use the Yellow line as my Bearish Trend setter (on Daily charts ).
