Blue FX Trend Strategy V1 - how does it work?Video explanation on V1 - how it works and how to use it.
We will next explain V2 and V3.
We have developed the initial strategy very quickly and these videos will explain the changes and help you the trader, find the right tool for you.
There is no one size fits all approach, but fundamentally our strategy is based on you being the right side of the market and to encourage you to let your winning trades run.
Cut losers, let winners run.
Sometimes the best trade to take is the one you are already in!
Learn to spot a ranging market and have patience in your execution on a break out and you will vastly improve the statistics here too.
Full back testing functionality on just trend following - BUT scroll left and test easily too with a Fixed Stop Loss (SL) and Take Profit (TP).
Custom settings can improve or decrease performance across all pairs.

Weekly recap Part 1 - how to be more selective with our tradesWeekly recap, we got cut short at the end so watch out for Part 2!
We are focusing on checking the below to remove moving forward some of the losing trades that weren't valid for last week;
- Did the H4 break the ema cleanly for the new signal to be valid? As shown this was not the case on the GBP Buys for last week so they werent valid or probable.
- Do the candles indicate trading volume, i.e. long bodied candles - or low volume small bodied candles (If so wait for the market to show it's hand)
- Consider the market structure - is this is a pull back, could this be a false break of the ema on the H4 timeframe - if so wait for the next H4 candle to confirm, or wait for the pull back and retest on the H1 timeframe
- When we have a consolidating price structure - consider the use of a buy stop or sell stop order to then catch the volatility in the direction of the signal
- If the EMA is horiztonal and price stuck in range - wait for a new high or new low for the new trend to start - demonstrated in the video.
I hope this helps our members take some more care into their entries - there are substantial opportunities weekly; we are afford to me a little more selective with checking the above.
Regards
Darren
Pattern Triangle - How to find? how to use in a right way?Triangle is one of the most populat pattern. A lot of traders are trying to use, but mostly thay can not find it, or are drowing it in a wrong way. In this video I am searching patterns with you and also will give you most important principals for trading with it.

GBPJPY - Easy Opportunities (Educational)Was having a look at GBPJPY and there were SO many opportunities which required very small stop losses and made perfect sense.
1. Double bottom, Long to previous top = 900 pips
2. Descending channel, Long to previous top = 390 pips (break out strategy or you could go for double bottom within the channel)
3. Previous highs acting as support. Long to recent high = 220 pips
4. Ascending wedge ranges = 227 pips
Altogether = 1737 pips in 44 days. High probability trades aswell on just ONE pair.
You could've even played the channel ranges in the descending channel for even more pips (Trade 2)
Note to self: Trading isn't difficult if you can make sense of what's happening on the chart. Find the best opportunities and hold.
FTSEMIB, FTSE MIB Index - Potential Breakout on ParabolaINDEX:FTSEMIB
The parabolic support guides us on a possible breakage of this resistance on the Italian index would make very interesting from the point of view of Risk Reward this potential trade since from that level onwards would meet much less resistance giving confidence to buyers to ride a possible trend.

Where BTC goes next? Market doesn't know yet...
hey traders,
very interesting market sentiment on BTC.
currently the market is approaching a key level of support,
and reaction on this level will most-likely determine Bitcoin's future direction.
for now, be focused on the narrow support area between 9000 and 9500.
if bears break and close below it, I will expect bearish continuation to lower structure levels
with initial target 7500
if bulls break and close below the falling vertical resistance,
I will expect bullish impulse to 11000
good luck!
EURUSD - Clear Trading OpportunityAfter EURUSD retests to the 1.23800 resistance level, it will bounce back off due to insufficient buying momentum. This is a clear trading opportunity: simply enter the trade selling EURUSD when it has reached the resistance level, put your stop loss above the 1.23800 resistance level and take profit a bit above the 1.12500 support level to be safe.

BITCOIN, Analysis According to Wyckoff Method, Must Read! The purpose of technical analysis using the Wyckoff method is to improve the timing of market operations when a speculative position is formed in anticipation of an upcoming move, where there is a favorable profit/risk ratio to justify opening this position. Trading Ranges ( TRs ) are the points where previous movement will be stopped and there will be a balance between supply and demand.
Here , within the Trading Range , accumulation or distribution develops and prepares for the further movement. These accumulation/distribution forces "create a cause" that transforms into subsequent movement. Creating the necessary strenght takes time and, since during this period price action is understandable, Trading Ranges represent really nice trading opportunities with potentially very favourable risk/reward ratio. However, to become a successful trader, you must be able to determine correctly the direction and size of the upcoming movement from the Trading Range. Fortunately, Wyckoff method offers us some useful guidelines and models which will help us to explore the Trading Range.
In our case we observe the Wyckoff ICE scheme - to fall under the ice.
The fall is a relatively wide-spread price movement, at quite high volume, which breaks through external resistance or support. The return is a test that immediately follows the jump, it is characterized by a relatevely narrow spread or rally on a lower volume, which checks and confirms the validity of the previous action of a jump.
The Wyckoff method tells us to buy on a return after an upward jump (sign of strength), or to open shorts on a downward jump (sign of weakness) . Also according to the Wyckoff method, you shouldn't buy exactly during the breakout, because that can put you in an vulnerable position for quick movements in the opposite direction if the breakout is false one.
Thus, the Wyckoff method offers us to buy on the correction of the downward movement and sell on the correction of upward.
Generalized Moving Average Kernels
A moving averages is a very simple concept that traders often take for granted and do not consider the inner mechanics of. In a very generalized sense a moving average for the last n periods is something that combines the past n values with unique weightings for each value. The real power of a moving average is in how those weightings are chosen. In a larger sense our choice of weightings is called a "kernel" or an "envelope". So if we consider a simple moving average all the weightings are the same, which means that our calculation equally considers past price action and current price action, this has a flat kernel. A weighted or linear moving average (wma) has a kernel that is shaped like a line and is decreasing as the distance from the current bar increases that takes the form of y = mx+b. This means that the weighting is higher for more recent bars and less for historic bars; increasing the slope (the value "m") of this will make this kernel more sensitive to recent bars than past bars. The exponential moving average (ema) is theoretically just like the wma but with an exponential term, aka y = ax^2 + mx + b. increasing the value of "a" will make the average exponentially more sensitive to recent price action than past bars. These are just 3 examples of the most common kernels. However the choice in kernels can be entirely your choice, and this is what I am presenting to the tradingview community. These methods are rather common in the field of signal processing and hopefully trading sometime soon.
Here I have built 3 new kernels for everyone in an indicator I will release soon.
1. The generalized polynomial kernel (blue)
Whereas the wma is defined by y = mx + b, the ema by y = ax^2 + mx + b, the generalized polynomial kernel can take in an eighth order polynomial as a kennel function: y = sum (rx ^ i) where i ranges from 0 to 8 and the user has 9 coefficients "r". To make a wma here one just sets the last 6 values of r to zero, or to make an ema the user sets the last 5 values of r to zero. If you are curious what shape your polynomial makes you can just plug it into wolfram or google to see it. This is the blue line on the chart above with all coefficients set to 1 by default.
2. The gaussian kernel (red)
This option sets the moving average kernel to a gaussian. The important thing here to consider is where it is centered, and how broad it is. If the width of the gaussian is sufficiently larger than the moving average window size then you will start to approximate a simple moving average, however if the width of the gaussian is incredibly narrow you are basically sampling the bars from however long ago that your gaussian is centered, like creating an offset. If the centering is done closer to the recent bars then there is essentially a smooth drop off in weightings with a negative concavity. This is the red line on the chart.
3. The noise kernel (green)
The idea of this one is simple, to just make a random kernel. Any value of the kernel can have a vastly different weight than the neighboring kernels. As tradingview has no random number generator I used a quasi random one that multiplies the unix time with the price and takes the sine function of that. For being totally random it also appears to be useful. This is the green line on the chart.
The script for this will be coming soon, I just have to clean it up for everyone. Keep in mind that this indicator is not ready to just apply to the charts, it is designed for people to customize and mess with first.
If anyone has any ideas to test with this I am incredibly interested to explore this deeper. I am using this general idea to move onto very interesting and potentially powerful applications, if anyone wants to talk about the technicalities of these please feel free to message me.
