The CO2 segment is involved in the production, transportation, and marketing of CO2 to oil fields that use CO2 as a flooding medium to increase recovery and production of crude oil from mature oil fields. The Terminals segment consists of the ownership and/or operation of liquids and bulk terminal facilities that store and handle various commodities including gasoline, diesel fuel, chemicals, renewable fuels, metals, and petroleum coke. It also owns and operates Jones Act-qualified tankers. The Products Pipelines segment engages in the ownership and operation of refined petroleum products, crude oil, and condensate pipelines that primarily deliver gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, crude oil, and condensate to various markets. It also includes the ownership and/or operation of associated product terminals and petroleum pipeline transmix facilities. The company was founded by Richard D. Kinder and William V. Morgan in February 1997 and is headquartered in Houston, TX.
