The Extended CEE segment covers Albania including Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Moldova, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Ukraine. The Special Markets segment comprises Germany, Georgia, Liechtenstein, and Turkey. The Group Functions segment consists VIG Holding, VIG Re, Wiener Re, VIG Fund, corporate IT service providers, and intermediate holding companies. The company was founded in 1824 and is headquartered in Vienna, Austria.
