Well! Jeff Bezos is the first one acknowledging it, "big companies tend to only survive for a couple of decades.". What goes up, eventually comes down.
I dare you to delve into the Forbes 400 of 2012 and check who the top 10 richest persons in the world were. Are they still there today? Were they at the top as well, back in 2002?
If you're not convinced enough, then I dare you to check who the top 10 biggest companies are (you use the market cap for instance), ten years ago and perform the same exercise.
Reality is so complex and dynamic. Whoever is presently winning at the moment seems to be invincible ... until they longer are.
Am I arguing that we've witnessed Amazon's last hurrah during the last bull run? Not at all. I have no crystal ball. None, whatsoever.
What am I arguing then? Right now, which is what matters, I'm seeing traces of decay of Amazon unprecedented for the last 14 years ... that's roughly 7500% price appreciation.
