Ah, the bubble built on QE. I had a chart like this at one time. It is quite amazing how much the Fed has learned how to pump the market/economy with QE. I am curious to what the market would have looked like if the Fed would have just stayed out of it. It may have been rough during the 2009-2012 years, but I bet we would be a lot better off. Now we just keep string along zombie companies and encouraging stock buybacks, and all of the crap that is not true economic growth. Just like any drug, it is going to be one heck of a rough ride when this market eventually goes through withdraw. Let's hope that happens during someone else's lifetime.
@Dr_Roboto, The Wealthy Elite and Corporation Tax Cuts of 2016 and the ensuing Stock Buybacks from that massive government handout to our most well-off citizens is the most underestimated factor in the market rn.
Robinhood stim checks ain't gonna replace mass shutdown of buyback programs haha.
