Harbor Bankshares Corp. is a bank holding company, which engages in the business of owning the outstanding stock of Harbor Bankshares Capital Corporation and The Harbor Bank of Maryland. It operates through the following segments: Residential Real Estate, Construction and Land Development, Commercial Real Estate, Commercial and Industrial, and Consumer. The Residential Real Estate segment includes mortgage loans on one-to-four-family residences. The Construction and Land Development segment focuses on lending for construction and development of residential properties, multifamily, as well as for the construction of commercial properties including faith-based properties. The Commercial Real Estate segment is involved in commercial real estate loans in its market area. The Commercial and Industrial segment offers secured and unsecured commercial business loans and lines of credit to businesses. The Consumer segment provides installment loans. The company was founded in 1992 and is headquartered in Baltimore, MD.
