Currently learning fibs and trade management, and today's lesson is: have setups ready to go in order to react quickly to market movements. A bit late to do it now. Likely have missed on this after the bounce off 31.4k, but will set up DCA entries at the levels shown, a tight stop-loss, and targets at what my TA tells me are key resistances. If the entries don't...
Still pretty noobish but been learning some new stuff recently and trying to apply it: DCAing in at blue lines (these levels are approximations, since I'm using BTCDOWN tokens) with a reasonably tight SL. Looking to take profits at green lines, with the bulk of them at right around the 31k mark. In fairness this is a bit of a dangerous game to play, as BTC could...
Still very much in learning phase. Curious what people's thoughts are here: is it fair to say that BTC's price is being 'controlled' based off the fibs from this bear and bull swing, marked with arrows? Trying to find ways to conceptualize market dynamics in general. Thanks for reading! Not financial advice.
I'm still pretty new at this - so constructive feedback and discussion is greatly appreciated! BTC has been ranging with most daily closes landing between 34.6k and 39.2k - until last week's downswing. BTC has retraced right to the 0.5 fib of that swing - and as of this exact moment, after a quick pop at the top of the hour, currently sits above that level -...
Perhaps my bias is showing: I've become very bearish on BTC and what I see as an incredibly overvalued crypto market in general. Analysts seemed to update their predictions upward in Feb/Mar when we saw an incredible run for BTC and alts, but I rarely saw anyone consider the possibility that the existing models were being front-run... combined with retail FOMO...
Posted this in the crypto chat and some folks liked it so sharing it here. Enjoy. Not financial advice, obviously
Despite the apparent reputation as being one of the fastest (if not the fastest) enterprise-ready DeFi blockchains, Avalanche seems to have taken its sweet time ranging and consolidating over the last couple months. Twice now, a breakout has seemed imminent, only to be dragged back down by one of the bigger BTC dips. Well, by this point, to me, the chart looks...
Just wanted to share this observation: every single time SOL has had a bullish MACD crossover on the daily chart this year, the price has doubled in around 2 weeks or less. Obviously past performance doesn't guarantee future performance - but SOL has been holding VERY strong through this dip/correction in the crypto market, so it wouldn't surprise me if it sees...
Disclaimer - I'm still kind of a noob when it comes to tranding & crypto so take this with a grain of salt and feel free to critique my analysis :) Ok so in a previous BTC post I may have seemed pretty bearish on BTC - the reality is, I am just not as bullish long-term as a lot of the internet hype crowd (for instance I think folks need to stop dismissing the...
Had identified this channel a few days ago and it looks to be holding up after today's dip - which is encouraging at least short-term for ETH. Hoping that the steady growth can continue and that alts get some more run. Still a little surprised that some stuff such as 1inch, CRV and UNI haven't made more substantial jumps but I'm expecting they have more upside...
(Caveat: I'm very new, in relative terms, to crypto and trading. If I'm getting something terribly wrong, I'm happy to be corrected. I also want to say that I think that Bitcoin is an amazing and revolutionary invention - but I think it's a 'draft version' of the cryptocurrencies that will eventually get mass adoption.) Ok. So you've probably already scoffed at...
Here's another coin that had a potential breakout dragged down by the Bitcoin dump from a few days ago. AVAX recently announced integration with The Graph, and continues to be a contender for DeFi and smart contract adoption with its Ethereum bridge and solid, fast tech. Although it has been slow to recover from the recent BTC dump, the optimistic interpretation...
This is a useful project with a development team that seems to be very highly regarded in the crypto sphere. Broke through to a new all time high trading price a couple days ago moments before BTC took a bit of a nosedive, dragging most of crypto down with it. MACD looks bullish to me on multiple timeframes, and there's a hidden bullish divergence on the daily...
Want mass adoption? FIO Protocol seeks to add human-readable, email-like crypto addresses (eg John@Coinomi or whatever) to wallets to send all currencies. What's more, the price seems to do a double-tap off the 4h 100MA before doing 1.5x to 2x with eerie regularity. I'm looking to enter on that second MA touch. And I might just hodl this one, I think it has...
As you can see, it looks like some more folks have recently caught on to the fact that there are super cheap layer-2 swaps available on this app, along with good rewards for liquidity providers - the question is, will Uniswap V3 end up cannibalizing their volume when it goes live? Anyway in the meantime I'm looking (and hoping) for an upside break out of the...
Learning about Bollinger Bands a little bit over the last few days and curious to run this idea by some folks to see if they think it has any merit at all. If this is complete BS then tell me - I'm really just starting to learn about trading and crypto. Here goes: If BBs are a measure of volatility, and are placed on the chart in relation to the MA, then it...
As Silvio Micali, MIT prof, cryptographer, and inventor of Algorand points out in his "Algorand in a Nutshell" post on the Algorand blog, one flaw for most cryptocurrencies, at least in terms of promoting actual ADOPTION and therefore long-term use value, is that they tend toward being viewed more as speculative assets rather than actual currency. Arguably, at no...
Seems weird to point out that this huge DEX, that's getting ready to release V3 in a few short weeks, is a strong project with big upside, but hey, I'm seeing lots of bullish signs on the chart, so why not. I'm personally looking for $46-50 or so over the next couple weeks, based on previous jump of ~$15. Sharing this to see what folks think of the analysis,...
