New built-in indicator — Auto Pitchfork

Feb 10, 2022

We’re pleased to announce yet another new Pine-based built-in indicator you requested – Auto Pitchfork. This indicator is based on our Pitchfork drawing tool, which takes points you set then connects them together and creates a channel with several different Fibonacci levels inside of it.

The new indicator helps automate this process: instead of requiring you to specify points by hand, it searches for last notable pivot points and draws the pitchfork based on them. As a result, your pitchfork can be shown on any desired symbol automatically:

The Inputs section in the indicator’s settings allows you to further tweak it to your preference: you can add new Fibonacci levels to the pitchfork and recolor them, change the type of the pitchfork used, and affect the length of the analyzed data via the Depth input.

To add the indicator to the chart, find it in the Indicators menu:

The indicator is written in our own Pine scripting language, so Pine enthusiasts can take a closer look at how it works in the Pine Editor. If you want to examine the inner workings of the indicator or modify it for your personal use, click on the “Open” button, select “New default built-in script” from the dropdown and find Auto Pitchfork there:
