Hello there,

With every new version of our self-hosted libraries, we go out of our way to highlight all the latest changes and upgrades. Thanks to your feedback, we’re constantly improving our products and — for all our existing clients — a new version of the libraries is already available on GitHub. And for those who don’t have access yet, you can request access here.

Let’s dive in and see what’s new in Version 24.

Product documentation

One of the most significant features with this release is the upgrade to our documentation. We’re constantly updating our docs to make sure our product is intuitive and self-explanatory, and this version aims for just that. Here are the major improvements.

  • Step-by-step guide on how to quickly upgrade library
  • Extended sessions use overview and feature overview
  • How to use JSFiddle with CL/TT guide
  • Adding JSDoc comments for the public API
  • Updated custom studies examples
  • Documentation for PineJS functions
  • Removing the “description” property from mandatory fields
  • Automatically generating overrides
  • Fixing autoScale & lockScale overrides
  • Fixing a screenshot for Custom Studies — Colouring Candles
  • Adding UI Breaking Changes for the new top toolbar
  • Removing descriptions from mandatory fields
  • Tool is not compatible with ‘F’ option
  • Removing header_widget_dom_node from the list
  • setVisibleRange ignored when percentRightMargin hasn’t changed

New features requested by our key partners

  1. Addition of API to collapse/restore pane(s)
  2. Addition of Pre and Post Market trading capabilities
  3. Adding a feature-set to revert the “serious guy” icon for invalid symbols
  4. Supporting the change currency of any study with a symbol input
  5. Adding color and style settings for some Settings lines

  7. Net change and Percent Change from /quotes
  8. Adding Maximize and Restore Chart API
  9. Implementing Fractions support
  10. etVisibleRange ignored when percentRightMargin hasn’t changed
  11. Supporting custom vol formatting s including
  12. Aligning onAutoSaveNeeded with “save” button behavior
  13. Bringing behavior consistency between the save button and onAutoSaveNeeded
  14. Showing context menu when there’s only one item
  15. Improving lolly-pop marks rendering on Technical Analysis Charts

All of the above — plus many other new features — are already available in our GitHub repository in Version 24. And we will continue to roll out more partner updates in the near future.
