Established in 1950 as Taiwan’s first private college, Tamkang has been a university of ideals, vision, and creativity for over 70 years. With a solid commitment to academic research, teaching, and learning services, TKU has continually embraced innovation.
In 1970, the university founded the Department of Industrial Economics, offering undergraduate programs that provide students with a strong foundation in economics and business fundamentals. The Master’s program launched in 1993, focuses on training industrial analysts and mid-level managers. In 2003, the department expanded its offerings with a Ph.D. program, emphasizing academic research in industrial organization and development.
Adapting to diverse human resource needs across various stages of Taiwan’s industrial development, TKU remains dedicated to excellence in teaching economic theory and has recently made another step towards this goal: it has partnered with TradingView.
