The UK is officially leaving the European Union at 11:00 PM GMT

The UK is officially leaving the European Union at 11:00 PM GMT, more than three-and-a-half years after voters decided to do so in a referendum held on June 23rd 2016. The UK will continue to follow all of the EU's rules, will continue to pay into the EU budget and its trading relationship will remain the same during the transition period which ends on December 31st. Yet, both the UK and the EU have until the end of 2020 to negotiate the terms of their new relationship, including a new free trade agreement. Source : tradingeconomics.com/
