TVC:GOLD   CFDs on Gold (US$ / OZ)
Hello prospective investors! Today, we'll delve into a comprehensive analysis of the gold market, aiming to provide you with clear insights and trends. Let's break down the recent developments and their impact on this precious metal.

Market Reaction and Influences:

Gold prices experienced a decline on Monday as demand for the US Dollar intensified in a risk-averse market environment. The attention of investors shifted towards China, where the prominent entity Country Garden Holdings, a true giant in the state, issued a warning about a substantial $7.6 billion loss in the first half of this year.

Technical Indicators and Price Movement:

As of now, XAU/USD is trading around $1,912. The daily chart reveals that it is positioned below the declining 20-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) and has dipped below the SMA 100. Meanwhile, the SMA 200 is ascending just below the day's lowest point. The Lower Momentum is positioned below its 100-level, and the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is hovering around 37, indicating a downward risk.

Short-term Outlook and Technical Analysis:

Looking ahead, on the 4-hour chart, the decreasing 20-day SMA acts as a dynamic resistance around $1915.30. The longer-term moving averages remain significantly higher, providing a downward slope. Although the technical indicators have recovered from the day's low, they remain in the negative zone.

Summary and Conclusions:

The recent dip in gold prices was propelled by increased demand for the US Dollar amid a risk-averse market sentiment, further fueled by concerns regarding the sizable loss reported by China's Country Garden Holdings. This headline-induced fear contributed to a flight to the safe haven of the US Dollar.
