Some of our Android users might have been experiencing lags and app crashes over the past few weeks.
The root cause of this issue is a WebView component that Android provides us with. One of the latest updates of this component included an error that eventually led to the issue. We’ve been doing everything possible to remedy the situation but, unfortunately, certain things were beyond our control. Google confirmed that this issue has been fixed already so you shouldn’t be experiencing it any longer.
Please update your WebView component to get this fixed — https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.webview. If you have Chrome installed on your device please update it as well — https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android.chrome.
We are currently considering excluding System WebView so that we are not dependent on components that Google provides us, as our end goal is to create the best possible experience for all of you.
