New screeners: make the most of stocks, crypto coins, and ETF research

Dec 26, 2023

Today, we would like to introduce you to our new products: Stock screener, Crypto coins screener, and ETF screener. They’re built based on your feedback, so they offer unmatched speed, functionality, and screening capabilities. You can find them in the main menu: click Products and choose Screeners.

Let’s take the Stock screener as an example and look at the main functionality.

Selecting screens

We have come up with ready-made screens to help you follow various groups of stocks: for example, leaders by capitalization or companies with the highest net income. You can find these screens in the screener main menu: click Stock Screener and scroll down to the Popular screens section:

Or add your own screens with a unique trading vision by clicking Create new screen:

Quick access to filters

Filters of any screen you use will appear over the table.

Here, you will find the filters already applied to the screener and see “templates” for your future filters.

If you don’t yet see the filter you need on the panel, you can search and add it through the search menu by clicking plus:

Here, we have collected a whole set of financial data, technical indicators, and everything that may come in handy in your research. If you’re not very familiar with any metric, you can read about it in our knowledge base; just click the question icon next to the filter name.

However, you don’t have to dive into articles on each financial indicator as we have new functionality: presets and descriptions for filters. We went through all the standard trading signals and chose standard levels for you:

If you need alternative filter values, just go to the Custom section. Here, you will have access to more subtle settings. It’s useful when performing technical analysis, for example. Do you want to find the golden cross and be the first in the bull run? Customize indicator lengths, timeframes, and conditions.

If you want to find companies that have fallen slightly from their yearly highs but may still be attractive to investors looking to short assets, just set the necessary values in the Price filter:

Results display

Now, after you’ve customized everything, you can see the results of your research in the table:

We’ve also prepared thematic data sets for you — column sets that you can find right above the table. With them, for example, you can track assets’ financial statements right in the screener: just select the Income statement, Balance sheet, or Cash flow tabs. Here, we collect the most up-to-date data. Or, if you’re interested in the most essential valuation and profitability metrics, you can select the according tabs on the same panel.

Now, let’s take a look at the columns. In addition to the default ones, you can add and configure any additional column.

We try to make working with the table convenient, so each column has a menu with possible actions allowing you to move it, sort assets, and more.

These are just a few of the screeners’ functions that will help you make your research more precise. Other features include:

  • Data export
  • Data autorefresh in the table
  • Expanded set of currencies for converting financial indicators
  • The ability to quickly add symbols to your watchlist

We keep improving screeners, so we need to know what you think. Send us your feedback, and we will try to bring even more helpful features to our products.
