Updated Chart Patterns: now with alerts, visibility settings, and a new indicator

Sep 1, 2023

It’s been several months since the beta testing of Chart Patterns indicators ended. During this time, we have received many requests for improving the patterns, and today, we present the most frequently requested features.

Alerts

You can now set alerts for patterns: stay informed for a new pattern, wedge breakout, double top formation, or a new Elliott wave.

To set an alert, make sure that a chart pattern is added to the chart, then go to the Alerts menu, select the pattern you need, and choose a necessary condition.

You can find more information about the available alerts for each pattern in our Help Center.

Visibility

To make working with patterns more convenient, we’ve added visibility settings — they allow you to control which patterns and targets should be displayed on the chart. Now, for example, you can display only the last pattern that hasn’t worked out yet or all similar patterns.

All patterns in one indicator

To make identifying all relevant patterns on the current chart easier, we have collected them in one All Chart Patterns indicator. This indicator has standard settings: visibility settings and the mode to search for emerging patterns. Patterns use the colors set by default in each indicator. To use the indicator, go to Indicators, Indicators and Strategies, open the Technical Analysis section, and choose Patterns.

Please note that the All Chart Patterns indicator doesn’t support alerts and doesn’t include Elliott waves.

Hope you will find these updates helpful. We appreciate your feedback — please keep sharing your opinions and suggestions with us.
