TradingView product update — October 2023

Oct 17, 2023

With our Black Friday deal now a month away, our team wants to showcase the latest platform updates that come with your subscription, including new ways to research, chart, and follow markets. Check them out!

Supercharts

New drawing tools, syncing features, and more to enhance your research:

  • Meet the all-new Anchored Volume Profile, which gives traders the capability to anchor volume profiles to specific points in time.
  • Check out our latest updates to Automatic Chart Patterns, which now include alerts, visibility settings, and more.
  • We moved our pop-up alert notifications to toasts. They now appear in the bottom left-hand corner and won’t hide important chart data. Also, when the pop-up alerts trigger, they’ll disappear on their own as well. This way, traders can stay focused as the alerts naturally fade off the screen.
  • Sync all your drawings across ALL of your layouts or sync them only to specific charts within a single layout. The choice is now yours.
  • We’ve added a new built-in indicator to our platform: Stochastic Momentum Index (SMI).
  • Our updated channel tools now allow for written text, including in Parallel Channels, Flat Top/Bottoms, and Disjoint Channels.
  • We’ve added the ability to toggle the display of the price label for drawing tools. Right-click on the drawing tool, then click “Settings” to see the toggle.

Screeners, Heatmaps, and Calendars

The all-new ETF Heatmap is here:

  • We launched a new ETF Heatmap that covers every exchange-traded fund. Visualize the entire ETF landscape, lit up as one easy-to-see heatmap with different customizations.
  • Our Stock 2.0 Screener, Coins Screener, and all-new ETF Screener now allow you to export data to a CSV file for additional off-platform research.
  • We added a simple yet helpful currency display to the Stock 2.0, ETF, and Coin Screeners. This subtle yet impactful addition means traders can select and see screens denoted in specific currencies of their choice.

Mobile updates for iOS and Android

Our new Android app is out, with more brokers for mobile trading:

  • The newest 1.20.13.0 version of our Android app is here!
  • Mobile users can now use the A and L buttons located at the bottom right-hand corner of the chart. The A button turns on the auto-scale feature, fitting your chart perfectly to your screen, and the L button turns on the log scale.
  • Minds are now on our mobile apps for quick chatting about your favorite symbols.
  • We’ve added new brokers to our mobile app, which means more of you can trade directly from our apps! The brokers now available on mobile are:
    • Orama
    • Alor
    • Velocity Trade
    • Spreadex
    • BitGet
    • Osmanli
    • Timex

Reminder: our apps are free for all traders
